I tried the free arena run yesterday...another fail...3-1 and everytime it's the same freaking pattern, I win the first game easily like I played against the AI and then lose 3 in a row...

If I start the free GvG arena today, and finish it after the 8th, does that mean I get GvG pack for the reward? Or do I still get regular expert pack because I started before 8th?

ooh, forgot about the dusting of changed cards. The only Gadgetzan I have is gold...

My most dropped > common card (at least from memory) has to be Gorehowl. I think I've gotten 4 of them, including 1 gold.

Most dropped common card for me has to be cleave and the most common rare Is mana addict. First rare from a pack was a mana addict, and I swear I get a mana addict every 4 packs I open. Cleave I get damn near every pack. Don't know why.

Only played 3 arena matches so far, but so far 2 players (one at 0-1 and one at 1-1) have pretty much handed me wins on a platter.

Too bad my weekend is full, I'd like to spend most of it running arenas to take advantage of these kinds of matches while learning how to draft the new cards.

I was 18 health at T3 (3/2 Windfury that gets +2 from sergeant and +1 from wolf) and 2 health at T4

i can usually get in another win before getting to 3 losses... but i get this a lot too. does anyone know what metrics they base matchmaking on?

Did the free arena run today. Got a bunch of trash with a mage deck. i ended up 2/3 at least but not because I had a good deck. only got an OK draw twice for the bad deck I had and the other two had bad hands or something.

Anyhow, I have another arena run going and I got a DAMN decent deck together. Got some screen shots of it. At first I thought it was going to be another crap draw as my first selection was between an Angry Chicken, Alarm O Bot, and Young Priestess. I was like, Oh noo.. not another bullcrap arena deck.

starting to not really enjoy GvG arena

seems there's going to be higher variance with GvG cards added and the more GvG cards you can select and/or draw, the more stronger your arena deck will be

Since there are so many non class gvg cards, it removes the chances of getting better class cards, including AoE. I've done 3 runs, none of the three had any AoE.

This is a concern that I noticed straight away. On the free run I picked Mage (obviously), but saw no Flamestrikes or Fireballs - not even an Arcane Explosion! Only won 2 games before losing out. Got a bucket load of new GvG cards though, so... yay?

So this shit comes out today right? I only got 1k gold together, I wasn't expecting them to actually release it till the end of December when they said it was coming out in December. Getting ready for the 4 white 1 blue dream. At least they'll be whites and blues I don't have yet haha.

Did a few more arena runs as well. Couldn't get any class cards for shit. No AoE clears. So the person with the AoE clears wins arena now. Ugh. Which seemed to always be the other person.

haha, you wish. 3 arena runs this weekend and I only played against 1 paladin and 1 shaman and everything else was a mage. Oh and they were lucky to get a flamestrike or two handed their way. I did one run with a mage, and got jack crap. No frostbolt, no polymorph, no fireball, no flamestrike, no blizzard, no arcane explosion. I was offered a single flame cannon though. Oh joy.

Shit's out boys! I'm doing my opening, Blizzard gave out 3 packs for free, I spent my gold and some money so 71 packs is what I'm doing in the end, I got this 10 packs in, we'll have to see how the rest goes.

was playing a bit last night although I couldn't buy any packs or do arena. The 3 packs I got I opened and got junk. 3 of the worse GvG rares. Ugh. Figured it to just be my luck. Didn't even bother putting any of the cards in my decks. I got a soot spewer, grove tender, and gnomish experimenter.

I got 20 packs with saved gold + the 3. I ended up getting the warrior legend that puts a bomb in your opponents deck (already put that in my warriror), and blingtron which seems kind of useless. I also managed to get most of the new priest cards as well so I'm playing with priest more.. Vol;jin is pretty cool.

Also crafted Troggzor because he seems really OP. It's funny every time I slam him down, you can see people's mouse highlight the card and stare at it in dread for 20 seconds.

I only ended up with 4 legendaries from my 71 packs, I got Troggzor, the gold Neptulon, and 2 of the fucking mech heads lol. But I got almost all the commons/blues/at least 1 of the purples so I was pretty happy about it in the end. I used my dust reserves to craft a Vol'jin because that guy looks crazy.

Opened 11 packs total last night and got 2 bad legendaries.
Hemet Nessingwary and Mogor the Ogre. I don't think Hemet will be useful in any deck because its stats just suck. Mogor the Ogre may be fun in some situation.

LOL 2 fails at lunch time:

#1: Crafting lots of GvG cards before realising I didn't opened the 3 free packs yet
#2: Ended up buying 10 vanilla packs with my gold instead of GvG packs

Now i'm miserable and ashamed 😛

But, I got some nice cards in the GvG packs and I had 4500 dust so I crafted lots of cards for my favorite classes (Paladin, Warrior, Warlock and Shaman). Crafted Troggzor too, he's awesome but i'm not sure about Bolvar Fordragon...not sure how good it can be and i'm pretty sure it can easily be countered/killed.

I still think i'll get the Iron Juggernaut for the Warrior...or Varimathras which look fun!
