I'm assuming Merlot is a werewolf. But I agree...the fake accents are awful, the writing is getting cheesy and it's turning into more and more fluff every week. I was hoping for an American Gothic style show (for those that remember it). Instead it's turning into a lame soap opera.

They are in a VAMPIRE show. God forbid we have more than 5 minutes of actual vampire shit per show. Nipples get more screen time than the vamps. This damn show is a bad soap opera with a dash of lame softcore porn thrown in.

I'm enjoying it. Yeah, it's getting pretty dramatic, but I enjoy the story and the liberty that a station like HBO can take with it.
 
I like it a lot, it's done very well, it's hard to switch between this and Dexter on Sunday nights, damn you Shotime and HBO! So I've been catching up on True Blood later in the week...
 
I've continued to watch it but for me, Dexter is on a whole nother level in terms of acting/script/story arc...everything really.
 
Good series. Pretty heavy on the lust/animality themes, but that's part of its premise.

A murder who's maybe good maybe bad just doesn't do it for me as as even a curiosity, and the episode I watched came across to me as much more of a soap opera.

i totally read that as vampire, not werewolf... i think he is, but havent seen the newest episode so i dont know if they have revealed it yet.

but who was the woman along the road that Tara almost ran over. For a moment it looked like the woman who was getting married, Arlene, but she has red hair. Or could it have been the psycho hippie who has hooked up with Jason?

The bad guy from Lost, Ben is married to the woman who plays Arlene in real life.

I like it a lot. Haven't watched tonights episode yet, but I already knew about him being a shapeshifter, since this is based on a series of books.
