The first two eps were a little slow but the story is picking up. I like the Bill character.

It's not great, but it constantly shows potential to be great. I wonder if it will ever get there? I thought the same thing about Dexter after the first few episodes, and that DID turn out to be great.

Husband and I turned it off halfway through the first episode after the 2nd gratuitous sex scene. We like Supernatural and liked Moonlight - but not this.

Prude?

Really. Since when are gratuitous sex scenes bad?

I like it!

But I tend to like gratuitous sex and Anna Paquin's T&A.

I didn't get halfway through the first show... one of the worst shows I've seen in a long time.

Well, HBO has renewed it for a second season so it will have the chance. I like it. My wife is watching it now as well.

Finally watching a few episodes... I would NOT call the sex scenes "soft-core"
The only thing they don't show is the genitalia itself.
Decent, though.

They are in a VAMPIRE show. God forbid we have more than 5 minutes of actual vampire shit per show. Nipples get more screen time than the vamps. This damn show is a bad soap opera with a dash of lame softcore porn thrown in.

It's not very interesting, nothing really happens. The plot moves along really slowly

More character driven than plot driven, I think. Might be trying to squeeze an entire season out of each book.

it's not horrible, not great. I've watched it and thought it was decent. Not great, but decent.

I stopped watching after the 3rd episode. I don't like any of the characters and the acting is lame.

Yep, decent is an adequate description, and does put it leagues ahead of many other shows.

To me it is like a car accident, I do not want to watch but I find myself watching it anyway.

I would rather watch Deadwood though...

Still watching because the premise is neat, but not sure how long I'll stick with it. I'm cool with slow moving, off-beat dramas, but Dexter is 100x better.

Looks to be some good drama tonight. The previews shows some action. I've got a hunch on who's been doing the killing but not sure yet. What I do know is that this person has something against vampires and wants others to not like them as well. Shit is about to hit the fan.
