Curious how many have look at the health care bill . I was thinking it would be hard to follow after the media made it sound like it was written in greek, but it actually isn't too bad.

I like the part where LA gets $100m for Medicaid. That bought one 'D' vote.

Even I think thats messed up and its my state getting the money. Besides, I bet Mary could have gotten triple that if her dumb ass woulda held out a little longer.

You're probably right. Gotta laugh at all the arm twisting that is being done to get this piece of crap passed.

heh. they seem to have forgotten to stick in the part about healthcare reform.

there is some decent stuff in your list, and not a whole lot i can see reasonable people getting too up in arms about. but from what i've been reading, it doesn't seem as much of a healthcare reform bill as just a group of small healthcare-related provisions- i fail to see how any of this will really impact the insurance barons.

edit- not to sound entirely negative. sure, a search for 'public option' of course yields zero results, but at least it's better than nothing...

It’s a protection for health care institutions that do not wish to offer assisted suicide services in areas where it is legal to do so.

I really didn't see much at all in regards to overall reform. There is a ton of stuff though about changes for medicare and medicaid, it probably makes up over half the bill.

all i see in regards to coverage of the poor is some stuff about those too poor to buy insurance but uneligible for medicaid. that could be good or bad.

i feel like it's probably going to end up just like education money- many are too poor to afford it themselves but too wealthy for government help. if anything, it seems like lower-middle class families usually have it harder in this country than those who are truly poverty-stricken.

The more crappier the better

The more it pisses off you Republicans the better :D

Shouldn't you be saying, "The more it helps Americans the better?" Or are you just interested in hurting Republicans at any cost? Why do you vote Republican if you hate them so much?

That about the sum of it, they hate America, and republicans so much they'll flush the whole country down the toilet just to be able to say "HA!". It's amusing reading all the hateful comments from the left, pretending they are supporting this crap because it helps people, but their banter gives them away.

so you think all the dem politicians just want to pass a bill in order to rub it in the faces of the repubs, and do not care one bit for the people?

then why can't they pass a bill with the majority they have? what is the fighting about? do you honestly think they've been in session for months simply discussing the best ways to screw the republicans?

what you're describing is actually, in fact, exactly what the repubs are doing- unamimously voting down every piece of new legislation in an attempt to make the dems look useless. maybe turn your brain on before your next post.

Follow the trail of bread crumbs, I was talking about some of the posters here. Lots of desperate hate, some are so deluded that even in the face of absolute proof still go on, and on.

Some republicans have offered more than a couple bills, and ideas. You guys really need to make up your mind, are the republicans ineffectual nobodies, or do they still have enough power to keep a dem super-majority from being able to do anything, it can't be both.

The people have given the dems a shot, all posts, and they are failing miserably...good luck in 2012.

Your going to be buried in 2012 why do you think your side is opposing everything because they know this to be true. They have nothing of value to give to this debate because they could give a fuck less about the over health of America. All they care about is the corporate bottom line.

My side? my side is America, so yea, once this piece of shit masquerading as legislature goes through my side is toast. Also thanks for being a shining example of what I was talking about earlier, you can always count on the loony left for some things.

The loony right is just as bad, but they aren't in charge anymore, well technically at least.
