But it's considerably less likely to happen if you get a booster; you don't have to throw up your hands and sing "que sera sera." You have control over how safe you are, and it's baffling that you wouldn't just spend 15 minutes at a clinic to reduce the chances of what could be weeks, months or years of suffering for you or the people you know.
Sure you're absolutely correct but it's more fun giving government a bird. It might be very stupid thing i am doing and you might even read a post from me that i am in ICU or a post from my wife that i am dead but ultimately it's my decision to make. I also anticipate that booster vaccination rate will be considerable less compare to current vaccination rate. As time goes by, less and less people will be willing to take a booster be it every few years or even yearly. Eventually equilibrium will happen and it will probably become stable around 50% same as with yearly flu vaccine .

Didn't you just admit "I have no rational reason for doing this, I'm just doing it out of spite?"

And the problem is that your decision affects more than just you. If you're more likely to get sick, the people around you are more likely to get sick. You might accept the risk that you'll wind up in an ICU, but what about your family? Your friends? They probably didn't volunteer. Until we know the virus is mild enough that relatively few people will get seriously ill, you're endangering the health of people around you, not just your own.

Yes i admitted that and yes i am endangering others around me. All my fiends and relatives know we haven't taken a booster. We are very upfront with everyone, everyone understand the danger and we are in no way trying to hide it. We have family members that decided to stay home because of this variant and we support their decision. We might even be contributing to its mutation and we are okay with that as well. In Democratic city's such as LA and others city's, government is trying to use heavy hand to make people get vaccinated and i am giving them a bird and going out of my way to get around those restrictions. I personally will not eat in any restaurant that enforce vaccination mandate, instead we just go to nearby city to eat.

Finally got my booster today :) Was supposed to get it yesterday at Walgreens but forgot my vaccination card at home, ugh!

An 1 hour and 45 minute wait at the health department! When the National Guard was running the mass vaccination sites I was in and out much faster (incl. 15 min safety wait).

OOF! I have several outdoor allergies, but the drugs help well enough that I'm not trapped indoors except when the ragweed count is very high.

Ragweed doesn't do anything to me. Oak only bothers me if the count is super high. But this cedar pollen is no joke. Even though it was a trace amount, about 70 pollen grains per cubic meter, the first cedar pollen of the season about a week ago had my sinuses clogged like hell and my throat scratchy and painful. So much so I took a COVID PCR test just in case (negative). But I think that reaction was just because it was the first cedar pollen of the season. Today it's pretty high at 4,690 grains per cubic meter and it's not affecting me as much. But once it gets around 20,000 grains per cubic meter it gets really miserable again. It usually peaks around 30,000 to 60,000 grains per cubic meter in mid January.

Basically, don't come to Texas in December, January, or the first 3 weeks or so of February, with San Antonio and Austin being the two worst cities for it since they're both near where these horrible juniper ashe trees grow.

I hope you don’t live in Kentucky. They are already overwhelmed with a lot of COVIDIOTS.
This is not the first state that's been through this. Imagine how many people suffering non COVID related sickness have suffered or died because of no beds, or better quality of life potentially severely delayed due to surgeries being cancelled, all so Republican filth can own the libs

Enjoy it, you wanted it and you got it.

At my age I'll take any damn booster they offer if it means staying out of the hospital and/or dying from this shit.

But, then again, I could act like a perpetually spoiled little 6 year old bratty shithead like you. But instead, I do prefer sometimes being more like an adult.

If i was a bit older so 50+, i would totally do exactly same as you're doing. At this time i am young enough that i am willing to take my chances.

which is stupid, because there is something that is free that reduces your risk. plenty of 40 year-olds have died, and 20-30 somethings have ended up with long-term cardio-pulmonary issues, because of covid.

Maybe so but it's kind of fun giving gov a bird and getting away with it.

This is the strangest mindset. You could permanently ruin your life and those of others around you, but you're more concerned with sticking it to authority like a rebellious teenager. And you'll probably regret it if (or at your rate, when) you get sick.

So all your nonsense about the supposed thousands or millions of idiots trying to obtain fake COVID vaccination cards was just more projection from you, because that's precisely what you've done. Trying to circumvent medical precautions.

You admit that you realize you endanger more than only yourself.
I just don't think you give a rat's ass, even about your own family. That's an extreme case of 'FYGM' when you don't even give a shit about affecting your own family.

If your family catches it and happens to die, or potentially suffers long-term symptoms and consequences for years, well...it was YOUR idiotic and juvenile attitude that will have done it. Kudos to them...they obviously have to deal with a loser and moron who argues against science and logic for the sake of his childish feels.

edit: Moderna booster was on Wednesday

Wasn't sure which thread to post this in, it's about the Omicron variant being resistant to treatment.

Preprint paper on Omicron treatment resistance

I can already foresee one of the clowns skimming over it and saying, "SEE! It doesn't work anyway, so why bother?!?", without reading fully and comprehending the statement. Just watch.

I just give dbaggery the bird, whether it's the government or a corporation.

You never answered my question about why you are against child labor in coal mines? I mean isn't that excessive government regulation?
