post is self explanatory - have you ever punched anyone in the face? or been punched in the face? if so, why? what did it feel like? what happened afterwards?

i was at a restaurant today and a couple guys started arguing, and before i knew it BOOOM one of them punched the other in the face with a sucker punch! think he got knocked out cold, but i am not sure since i didnt feel like getting caught up in it so i just ran out of there. realized i didnt pay when i got home so i will probably go back and pay tomorrow

Yes and yes. At least in my day it was a right of passage in Jr. High and High School. My nose has a slight lean to the right as the result of one.

As an adult, once, while I was in the Navy. (but he had it coming ;-))

Also note that at the time, every boy, or at least 90%, carried a pocket knife to school every day, and of all the fights I saw or was involved in, no one ever pulled a knife.

But today, yea I'd probably make a quick exit and get the hell out of there. Even if I were carrying at the time, it ain't worth it, as pulling a weapon is the last resort.

I've been kicked to the neck and the top of the head. I have also kicked people in the head.
Punching or kicking to the face I have neither done nor have had done to me though.

Also I tend to prefer to use an open palm so wouldn't have been a punch anyways.

I was about 13 or 14. The neighbour kid slapped my sister in the face so I grabbed him by the collar and pushed, down he went with me on top. Good old ground and pound ensued until my father pulled me off of him.

The other time, as an adult at a bar arguing whose turn it was to play. He suckered punched me but the blow only glanced, luckily. I ended up under this time but the bouncer got involved and separated us, thank fuck, LOL.

Yea, hurts like a son-of-a-bitch, that is why he hit me in the nose, it is also why I hit him back, and he ended up it an eye swollen shut.

Wimp out in a fight, and you are forever a target, and you might end up with a lot of practice of crying blood murder, or listening to the chicken sounds as you run.

In today's world where ever chicken shit punk is packing a gun they stole in a B&E, or exchanged for drugs, a quick exit is probably a smart move, especially if SO and kids are with you.

Things go south really quick with an idiot who can't fight like a man pulls a gun. Even if I'm carrying at the time, these lower life forms ain't worth the hassle.

Pulling a legal weapon (open or CCW) is the absolute last option. But if I get down to no more options I will pull and use it.

I got stuck in jail on a weekend hold over and a guy in the cell next to me was in a shitty mood so decided to insult me. I drank three cups of coffee before lock down, went in my cell and once the 40 minutes were up I covered my hands with my socks and started swinging the second he stepped out of his cell. Landed 3 hits before he went to the floor then I hit him 4 more times in the face. He didn't bother me again.

I've only been hit in the face once. Total sucker punch on his part, I was leaning into my trunk and he caught me from the side then ran like the OP.
