All Christians believe in God. All who believe in God are Christians. How is that wrong? Now, if I had said that all Christians believe in a god and all who believe in a god are Christian, I would have been wrong. I guess that makes me right. Again. :)

you're missing out on the fact that Jews and Muslims belive in the same God, and they would not call themselves Christians. and a lot of Christians wouldn't call Catholics Christian either.

Jews believe in a god that hasn't come to earth to save them yet ;)

nik

so now you're claiming Jews and Muslims don't believe in the same God we do, that of David and Moses?

IIRC, the Jewish belief is that Christ wasn't God; that the prophecy hasn't come to pass yet.

Am I confusing them with someone else? That's possible. I'm groggy.

nik

did i mention Christ in my post? i think not. you can claim that Jews or Muslims are misguided, but denying that they worship the same God is pretty insulting.

Is Christ not God? I think so. What I claim, insulting or not, might be the truth. If they don't accept Christ as their savior and that He died for their sins, they can't be saved. They're worshipping a false hope, maybe? I dunno. Like I said, I'm totally out of it in the middle of my paid vacation. :D Now, it's quite possible that I'm thinking of another group, but I was pretty sure that it was the jewish culture that believed as such.

nik

The Jews don't need Jesus. They're Gods chosen people. I believe they're saved regardless.

That directly contradicts the entire Bible. :)

No, that possibly only contradicts the new testament. When the rapture comes, most of the jews and saved people will be sent to heaven. Others will stay for God's purposes.

If you don't believe that, what do you think of Jews?

There are three parts to God. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are all God, and they are all one God. The original Hebrew name for God was plural.

In scientific thinking, truth is taken from some unquestionable scintefic source. Only some facts are really required. If facts are considered, the believers only accept ones that do not contradict their truth. After all, anything that seemingly contradicts an absolute scientific truth can't really be a fact.

'Nough said!

Christ is God and not God at the same time. He is the Son of God and sits at His right hand. for the purposes of most, though, when someone talks of God they are usually not talking about Christ, and vice versa. just because they don't believe that Christ is God or the Son of God or the Son of Man or whatever doesnt' mean they don't believe in the same basic God, that of Moses, David, Soloman, etc.

you're missing out on the fact that Jews and Muslims belive in the same God, and they would not call themselves Christians. and a lot of Christians wouldn't call Catholics Christian either.

The Old Testament is tied in by Christ's fulfilling of the old covenant that he had with Moses. If it is not fulfilled, then the New Testament is pointless. And, without the forgiveness that Christ gave at the cross, no one is saved.

your ability to go into denial is incredible. your arrogance at dismissing all other religions is incredible and dare i say it, your a

bigot

\Big"ot\, n. [F. bigot a bigot or hypocrite, a name once given to the Normans in France. Of unknown origin; possibly akin to Sp. bigote a whisker; hombre de bigote a man of spirit and vigor; cf. It. s-bigottire to terrify, to appall. Wedgwood and others maintain that bigot is from the same source as Beguine, Beghard.] 1. A hypocrite; esp., a superstitious hypocrite. [Obs.]

2. A person who regards his own faith and views in matters of religion as unquestionably right, and any belief or opinion opposed to or differing from them as unreasonable or wicked. In an extended sense, a person who is intolerant of opinions which conflict with his own, as in politics or morals; one obstinately and blindly devoted to his own church, party, belief, or opinion.

your like those christian fundies that believe in the end time there will be mass conversion of jews to jesus:p your one true religion which totally ignores every other religioin you deem irrelevant. "all people who believe in god are christians"... you are a joke.

Exactly. No one can tell anyone else that they don't "believe" correctly. That is the basis for keeping religion out of public schools. The gov't must remain neutral and keep it all out so it can't cater to one or the other.

And, since no one can say that evolution is correct or not, that should be taken out too. And all scientific theory, because it hasn't been proven correct yet. And all philosophy because it can be interpreted differently and lead to someone believing that one isn't believing correctly.

...yeah, and that's going to happen.

no matter how you twist and distort, scientific theory is not religion. try as you might to bring it down to the level of religion, it won't work. you can't argue against reason and win. you can only try to muddle the issue in an attempt to mix religion and government amoung other things. not just religion of course, but your religion, your specific view of religion, pure dogma.

The theory of evolution is taught in Science class because scientific analysis has lead to this conclusion. "Christian" creationism can be put into the science classes once scientific analysis has determined that that particular creation story is the most valid conclusion. Until then, Christian creationism belongs mythology/religious study courses.

I have no problem if it's taught as theory, but for decades it has been taught as fact. That is a travesty!
