Exactly. No one can tell anyone else that they don't "believe" correctly. That is the basis for keeping religion out of public schools. The gov't must remain neutral and keep it all out so it can't cater to one or the other.

And, since no one can say that evolution is correct or not, that should be taken out too. And all scientific theory, because it hasn't been proven correct yet. And all philosophy because it can be interpreted differently and lead to someone believing that one isn't believing correctly.

...yeah, and that's going to happen.

The theory of evolution is taught in Science class because scientific analysis has lead to this conclusion. "Christian" creationism can be put into the science classes once scientific analysis has determined that that particular creation story is the most valid conclusion. Until then, Christian creationism belongs mythology/religious study courses.

I have no problem if it's taught as theory, but for decades it has been taught as fact. That is a travesty!

are you muddling the scientific definitions of fact and theory for your own purposes again? i have never seen evolution taught in public schools as religious dogma as you seem love believing. some people just like having something to be indignant about, even if it has to be made up.

In '72 I was lucky enough to have a biology teacher with enough guts to state that she did not know the truth.

Since I've raised 2 kids. I KNOW what the text books say and I HAVE several encyclopedias that include Comptons and World Book on CD.

Every one promotes evolution as FACT and the aforementioned poster that has man evolving from ape is prominate!

I know THIS truth because it is staring me in the face!

He's right, it's a theory. But that doesn't mean it's an idea with no evidence.

From the link I posted before:

A theory, in the scientific sense, is "a coherent group of general propositions used as principles of explanation for a class of phenomena" [Random House American College Dictionary]. The term does not imply tentativeness or lack of certainty. Generally speaking, scientific theories differ from scientific laws only in that laws can be expressed more tersely. Being a theory implies self-consistency, agreement with observations, and usefulness. (Creationism fails to be a theory mainly because of the last point; it makes few or no specific claims about what we would expect to find, so it can't be used for anything. When it does make falsifiable predictions, they prove to be false.)

I would hope that science students would have an adequate definition of theory. I've seen on OT that a lot of them don't though.

Philosophy is not science.

Taken College Level Biology, taken basic religious courses, clearly the truth is Creationism.
