Going either way...from believing in evolution to not, or from not believing to believing. I'm just curious what we've accomplished with probably 10mb of storage space on the server :D

Nope. I'm a biologist by trade. It would pretty much take God himself personally explaining things to me to change my mind. Creationists just need to accept the fact that they're 95% monkey and get over it.

Nope, not biting. Go to college, earn a Masters in molecular biology, read every single damn evolution thread that has ever been posted on OT and then we'll talk, monkey-boy. :p

I have changed my views.

Before, I thought that people didn't believe in evolution because of faith. Now, I know they have reasons that make absolutely no sense.

While my position has not changed, I'm more aware of the false assumptions that permeate the evolutionary field.
This is because the consensus on this issue is that evolution must be true and that anyone who opposes evolution is an ignorant fool, and so, it is necessary (or at least it appears so to myself) that any opposing or correcting information come from the evolutionists themselves for it to be considered valid.
Thus, the majority of my time spent in research is at sites which are pro evolution, accruing conflicting information on the various theories, laws, and facts which surround the term evolution.

Dave :)

The label of ignorant fool only gets attatched to creationists who try to debunk evolution with lies (see 14Carbon and 2nd Law of Thermodynamics).

I have no beef with those who think God created life. I just have a problem with those who consider creationism a science and try to force it into schools.

No. The religion ones have not changed it at all. Evolution ones are just a freaking farce. THe gun control ones I'll admit have had a big impact on my earlier thoughts, but the religion/evolution ones none at all.

OK. What conflicting info have you found?

These posts have not changed my beliefs one bit, and I assume that's true for everyone. I just assume that zealots believe what they want to believe, and each side is going to try to argue their case. No one's opinion is ever changed. Same with abortion.

And I won't say what side I'm on on either issue. It's true for both sides.

Reading posts from imtim83 have confirmed my belief that we descended from primates. Just some of us faster than others....

Wow, out of 26 people so far not one has changed his position from reading these threads. Looks like they were a total waste of time afterall. Of course knowing this won't stop anyone from re-re-re-rehashing the same tired old argument here

And XZeroII, you know this thread is going to get ugly don't you?:D

0 to 32, thats wonderful, basically backing up that what we don't know and can't physically prove can't be argued. Atleast with cars/computers/women we have something here in everyday life we can prove points with ;)

of course no one changed their views. it is the problem with most people today; the majority are too close-minded to listen to the opposing side. btw, i don't believe in evolution, and, yes, i have read PLENTY of essays/books on evolution.

oops, i read "yes, i have changed ideas"

the idea went from thinking that creationists were pointing out valid holes in a theory to thinking that they simply had no clue what they were talking about (see: 2nd law of thermodynamics)

if you ever bothered to read the 50-page long posts maybe you would have? (i bet that's why they were deleted - too much bandwidth for poor AT)

but anybody that believes in evolution i'd seriously ROFLMFAO if they switched their beliefs to creationism. I can understand vice versa though.
