1. Clearly you didn't to look at the video I linked; and ignored other users' complaints on how SLI is broken due to the flickering, which makes the gameplay experience unpleasant. I guess according to you we should now consider a game playable when it has major flickering issues? You probably also think the SLI contrast/shadowing issues in FC4 are not a deal breaker despite other users thinking it's a major issue?
2. I never said some game today uses dynamic global illumination everywhere. In the case of Unity though, the majority of the lighting and shadows are primitive and downright ugly as seen in hundreds of user screenshots and videos on YouTube. I don't think I need to own the game to confirm this. Out of principle of not supporting rushed, glitchy, unoptimized games, I will not spend $30-50 just to prove to you with my own screenshots what's already evident based on shared videos ana screenshots of other gamers.
It's not about the draw distance limiting details as other games are also subject to these limitations. Those characters in the DarkKnightDude's pics are not far enough to have missing shadows. Also, clearly you probably never took art classes because you can't see on post 92 how large objects cast no shadows on NPCs, how shadows don't look right in terms of depth, how the shadow sizing scale is wrong for some of the objects, how when people walk their body parts (feet/legs) cast no shadows in many places. AC Unity has arguably the worst shadow/lighting model I have seen in a AAA game since AC 3. It's horrible and makes the game's NPCs and objects look like fake/ugly floating pieces due to missing / low quality shadows. You can defend it all you want but more than 1 person has commented on this aspect. This shouldn't even be a discussion for a "next gen" game and yet it is. Shows how overhyped the graphics of Unity are. Proper shadows and lighting were one odnthe major standouts in BF4 when it debuted. It's very difficult to make a realistic / technically strong game witout attempting to create proper lighting/shadow system. In many parts of the game, the main character casts a shadow while running on roof tops but sometimes it just disappears.
As for just how far, you can see it in these images:
High Shadows
PCSS Shadows
Doesn't matter for most of the game when shadows are simply missing/lacking in quality to begin with. Also, low polygon NPCs and poor textures can be easily seen Throughout the video below, even after maxing the game out on the PC, deapite you never admitting of such graphical flaws for a next gen PC game:

It's perfectly normal for someone to be a fan of the AC franchise and like the game's storyline/mechanics/historical timelines, but graphically this game is no masterpiece, and FAR from a true next gen title. If this game came out in 2010-2012 alongside Crysis 2, Far Cry 3, Metro 2033, I wouldn't have been wowed but by end of 2014 the graphics are simply underwhelming given the fake marketing screenshots Ubisoft sent out as if to portray real world gameplay and the subsequent horrendous performance to IQ tradeoff in the final game.
It may be the best looking AC game but that doesn't mean much since AC has never even been in the running for the best looking PC game. You keep talking about all this level of architectural design and details in Unity but why does the game never look as close to the real world as Crysis 3 does? AC Unity hasn't even come close to matching the shadows, foliage, particle effects and lighting of Crysis 3, while the character and facial details in cut scenes in Crysis 3 are also superior. Your claims that Unity is a "next gen" game are just your opinion because if it was, it would be hands down better than Crysis 3, but it isn't.
Despite Crysis 3 being a nearly 2 year old game, it still manages to look far more realistic in trying to depict real world. Since you love cherry-picking AC Unity shots, let's see how cherry-picked high-rez Crysis 3 stacks up:

True next generation PC games will need to dethrone Crysis 3 and Ryse Son of Rome before you start calling them next gen. As far as I see it Unity can't even match the graphics of 2013 Crysis 3 and Ryse Son of Rome, nevermind the claims of it being able to go head-to-head with next gen PC games of 2015-2019. Remember you said it yourself that Unity is a next gen title so according to you it's 1 gen ahead of Crysis 3 and Ryse Son of Rome -- current gen games.
