Here's to all those who came before us to offer themselves and their service to save our country, and especially to those who paid the ultimate price with their lives.
Remember that there are valid reasons and times for sacrifice, but always remember to question our leaders and ourselves to be sure that, when such sacrifice is asked, the cause is just and worthy.
I was born two months before the attack on Pearl Harbor. Around ten times as many U.S. troops were killed in WW II than died in Korea or Viet Nam. The threat to all of humanity was grave, and the cause was just. I'm glad we finally got a memorial for those who fought in for us, then.
