I am tempted to do this again for a co-worker except for at Staples B&M, here's how we itend on doing this:
1) Find a Target B&M who has the colors he wants in stock, find a Staples B&M who has the color he wants, find a Target sales circular ad (either at Target store or newspaper) then go to Staples B&M.
2) Get the Handspring Visor Deluxe for $249.98 plus at least $1 of office supplies.
3) Show the Staples cashier the Target ad showing a price of $199 (they may not even call Target to verify in stock availability, when I PM'd Staples against CompUSA for Black & White they accepted just the ad and didn't call CompUSA B&M), they will knock the price down to $199, with my $1 misc office supplies my new subtotal will be $200 or more.
4) Before going to Staples B&M I will place an order online but not submit/finalize the order, I'll just enter the $40 off $200 coupon code and my shopping cart will show a $40 discount, most Staples B&M will accept this instead of "an official Staples e-mail coupon offer". So now my price is $200 - $40 coupon = $160.
5) $50 rebate from Handspring.
$110 final price, sure I will miss out on the 3% Dash.com rebate but most Staples phone CSRs already know about Target however B&M employees aren't as up to speed on that issue. Plus isn't it nice to have the product in hand the same day instead of going through the hassle of shipping?
I think the $50 Handspring rebate ends soon? Or maybe 5/5?
Does anyone see any flaws in my plan of attack?
