Called my local Target by Northridge, CA. They have the Visor Deluxe for $199 'till 3/31. You can have Staples pricematch that + the $40 off $200 coupon + Dash. Good deal!

**** So this deal comes up to $112.81 after $50 rebate from Handspring and $10 rebate from Dash. Tax included ****

So, could you PM staples with target to get it to $200, use the $40 coupon, and then get the $50 rebate, making the total $110? Now that would be a hot deal... If someone gets this to work, LMK by posting here.

Ryan :)

Yup, I did it yesterday. CSR didn't give me any problem. Just waiting for Staples delivery boy. I added two pennies to my cart just to make sure I can use the $40 off $200 after Staples price match it with Target.

Doh! I wish I had seen this two weeks ago, coulda saved me another $50 :/

Double Doh! Just called them about it, and they won't honor the price, even though their pricematch policy clearly states that staples.com has to issue the rebate, NOT another company (in this case, Handspring). I'm half tempted to call them back...

Good luck to everyone else though, may your luck land you a decent CSR :)

I used my Amazon.com Nextcard Visa as well so that I'll get points towards Amazon GCs. I'm hoping I'll get the Visor t'morrow. However, I did received the orders I placed using the $49.99, $8.25, etc.. coupon thing. Got MS Internet Keyboard Pro, Address Book CD, 3volt and 8 AA batteries for $22. Royal CX700 Cross-cut Paper Shredder, Address Book CD and Inket Toner for $28. That $49.99 coupon, Address Book CD and Inket Toner deal was killer. It's been a good Staples week for me.

Anyone wanna buy my Address Book CD or can I just take it back to Staples for a refund? hehe! :D

okay, for people who are not clear about this deal..

1. call you local Target stores, and ask how much Visor Deluxe is selling for.

2. confirm that it sells for $199, then either order by calling 1-800-3STAPLE, or by walking into Staples B&M.

2a. if you're calling 1-800-3STAPLE, then ask CSR to pricematch the item by providing the CSR with the Target phone number. apply $40 coupon.

2b. if you walk into Staples B&M, order from their KIOSK station. meaning, order from their computer station (use $40 coupon), select "pay at register" option, take the print-out to the customer service desk. before paying for it, ask to pricematch. this is the method i used, and worked flawlessly.

3. make sure either pick-up a rebate coupon from store, or print-out rebate form from www.handspring.com, for $50 rebate.

i did the deal posted earlier for the free stuff and the handspring from staples and my order including tax and free shipping was $212.65. i just called to pricematch to target and they did! csr said i will get a $49.99 credit to my cc....plus i have the $50 rebate! great deal on the handspring deluxe for $112 after the pricematch and rebate....plus the free stuff (what was it anyway?..printer cartridge, and one or two softares?). hopefully, staples won't look at the order too closely because sometimes they change things, but csr said i'm getting the credit to my account for the pricematch...vroom

anyone in the DC area find a Target with the $199 price? I called the two stores closest to me and they both said $250.

NEVERMIND - I found one. Woohoo! :D

Update - I called to pricematch and they guy told me that I couldn't because with the $50 rebate, the price would be the same as Target. I told him that the rebate applies to Target as well, and he still said he couldn't do it. When I pressed him, he talked to his manager who said he couldn't do it. Then the manager (Brian) got on the phone, and I explained the situation to him and gave him the link to the Handspring rebate. He checked it out and then apologized to me and gave me the PM :) My total was around $157. After the rebate, it will be $107!!! Oh, and after Dash it will be $97!!!

YOU ROCK RAYMONDB!

Wooooo--hoooo. I had ordered the Visor and received it yesterday in the mail. I called Staples and at first spoke to a snotty girl who said I needed to call Target, get the serial #, etc. and call back. Well, i did that and got on the phone with Staples again and spoke to a nicer rep who immediately credited my visa $53.99. All in all....

$249.98 (plus Ca. tax=$266.78)
-40.00
-53.99 (pricematch w/tax)
-50.oo mail in rebate

equals $122.79 (friggin' california tax or it would be cheaper!)

Good luck

;)

PS. Those in Los Angeles, the Target selling them for $199 is at (310) 895-1131

Does anyone know of a Target in the NYC/NJ area that is selling it for this price? My friend has called quite a few and is having problems finding this deal.

PM me if you wouldn't mind.

Thanks

Tried two reps. One gave me all kinds of bs and another said I would lose the $40 coupon because it'd be $199.48 after the pricematch.

What else can I do?

Punamo,

Why not add popcorns, paperclips, MSDN cds, or whatever else you need (or don't need) to make up that 52c? The $40 coupon is per order, not per item.

All I did was place my order at staples.com using the 40 off. Then called the 1-800-3STAPLE and i just pressed 1 for orders, not customer support. I gave them My order number and Said Pricematch Target and he took 50 off. So my total will be 126 for a visor deluxe.
