Branded: You got lucky. 🙂 My local Target still has the 2Meg Visor for $179.99. Of course, we all know how slow Target is on getting clearance prices.
I opted for the Visor for $199 then I'll send in the $50 rebate. Honestly, I don't even want to deal with Staples, as I hate them with an absolute passion. :|

I don't blame you but I couldn't resist the temptation for a $109 Handspring Visor Deluxe, although I did have a few difficulties with Staples.com:
1) 24 business hours after placing my order online at Staples.com and receiving an order number the CSRs could NOT find my order in their system even though my Staples.com profile showed it and I had a print out of my order. Of course I know that Staples MANUALLY enters all online orders which makes absolutely no sense to me. The CSR rep apologized profusely and seemed nice so I thought I'd place the order online again using a coupon and price match, no problem. I was bummed out because I may have lost my $10 from Dash.com.
2) I had ordered Blue and when she called my local Target which had them in stock they only had Graphite so she refused the price match, LOL. I then asked to speak with a supervisor and almost went off on him, but he said ok and let me have the Blue price matching it against Target's Graphite price of $199.99
It has still left a terrible taste for Staples, I have seen plenty of Hot Deals for Staples after coupon, price match and MIR. It's not always worth the trouble though.

My wife is starting her residency in July, and could definitely use a Palm or Handspring. This is a great deal on one, and even if she gets a better one with "book funds" from her residency, we can either keep this one for me, or e-bay it and get all of my money back. 🙂

ericboo, on Staples website, just type Handspring Visor Deluxe in the search field. 2 will show up with a link that say "view all 7". I just tried it. They are there.
If you're trying to find them on Targets website, they aren't there. You will need to call your local Target and see if they are $199. Some people said their stores don't have them marked down. If you're told they are $249, ask the clerk to scan them to be sure.

I agree with many that staples is horrible....have you guys ever had orders cancelled after they're been confirmed? is there any way around that? I did a PM with the live chat (to avoid talking over the phone) and applied the 40 off coupon online...several days later, i check and see my order is cancelled! is there any way around this? thanks.....
Just completed my order with Staples. $160 and then I mail in the $50 rebate.
I called the local store and found out they had the graphite in stock and then called Staples. I even told the CSR that they keep shoving these coupon codes in our mailbox (which they do) and she laughed and said this way you keep shopping with us. Hell yes! Luckily this code $40 off $200 just came in today's mail with the Staples bill.

I have tried twice to get Staples to price match and now they have the $50 MIR on their website and they are refusing to pricematch it. I have been through two supervisors and no deal. What can I do now other than take the $40 coupon and the $50 MIR?
I don't know if it helps, but I played dumb to the pricematch policies, and was told as long as the target store had the same model in stock it would be fine. It may help that I have a Staples account.

luckiestone, call back, tell Staples csr's to read the rebate form posted on their website. The $50 rebate they are offering says you have to buy a Visor and keyboard. Tell them you aren't using their rebate. You're going through Handspring directly.
Update I broke down and ordered the visor. When I called in for the pricematch I spoke to Amy. She tried to give me the shpeel about the rebate but I cut her off and told her the rebate they offered said you needed to purchase the keyboard too. She kept saying it didn't say that. I told her where to find it and she said she needed to speak with her Supervisor. After 5 mins she came back, apologized and said I would see a credit for $54 on my cc. I asked her if she did finally see what I was talking about and she said it didn't matter anyway as their rebate expired on 3-3-01.. Now, don't let them give you any crap about the pricematch!

Yay!!! Ordered mine on Sunday....got mine today! I go to UCLA, and there's a staples wherehouse nearby, so I'm guessing thaz why it arrived so fast. This baby is awesome...ok....must focus on studying for finals....must not play with visor too much....ah screw it...final's not till Thursday...I'm playin' 😀
