I have never heard of this place before this thread. Have you watched the TED talk in the other thread yet? The gender pay gap is definitely real, it just primarily represents the market punishing women for having and raising children as society places expectations and demands on women in that regard that it does not place on men.

There's a reason why there are so few women partners at top law firms and why the ones that do make partner are usually childless, for example.

Don't care about this restaurant's politics or whatnot but given their prices and uninspiring menu I'm not surprised they closed. AU$21 for a bagel is ridiculous even in greater Melbourne. Unless you want to pay a super premium for vegan food served by feminists I'd much rather go to some of the many other veg friendly dining options in town. There's an incredible amount of great Malaysian restaurants in town for example.
