Personally I dont care, they can run their business any way they want, if you dont like it you can just not go there, if I lived in the area I would go just once out of curiosity.Reviews on the internet are interesting, trip adviser has far more one star than 5 stars and nothing in between, same with google reviews.

I think Slow is representing himself honestly here. His point that the left is moving further left is fair, and it doesn't exactly invite people with some conservativism to join them.

To me it appears the left is moving very slightly back to where it was before it moved a long way to the right. The Western world moved markedly to the right starting in the '80s, and even the 'left' of the left is at most where the centre of the left was then.

The problem also stems from how the right now calls those who held the exact same beliefs as they did in the 80's socialists because the right has moved so insanely far right. I mean, look at the deplorables who who from their beliefs would consider the fascist right Spain under Franco to be too leftist now.

The ACA is about the furthest right plan for universal health care that can exist and yet it was denounced by conservatives as Commie-Nazism.

I'm sure to conservatives it looks like the Democrats have moved super left but empirical research shows pretty clearly that polarization is primarily a function of the right going off the deep end.

The right is fairly moderate today, but now the left has leapt further left. I don't know if this was a response to Trump or just the general direction they were going.

Repeating this obvious lie over and over again does not make it magically become truth.

The fact that it is based in reality does make it truth, though.
Fact-based reality shows the right moving further and further right. Reagan tore down walls, Trump would build them. Bush Sr. spoke of America as the shining city on the hill, where all were welcome to come and business, Trump would put a closed sign on that city. Republican Presidents in the past went out of their way to reject right wing extremism, Trump embraces it. All of that is fact.

This is what Republican leaders used to be like:

This is what they're like now: “Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country's representatives can figure out what the hell is going on.”

So keep lying, Slow. It's all you know how to do anyway. The rest of us aren't fooled.

LGBT rights.
You mean by denying them to now serve in the armed forces? Nope try again.

Edit: that is the only lame attempt you can come up with, guess you were wrong that the right is more moderate now.

Yep, that's exactly what I thought when I read your OP.
It's like my cousin who is ultra right wing and will claim his reasoning is entirely 2nd Amendment.
Then he'll casually comment that he hates black people or make a racist statement and think nothing of it.
Or every chance he can find to complain about trans or non-binary people he'll bring it up.
But he would never accept the label of being racist or admit to having an issue with LGBT people.

Free healthcare, elected socialists, free college, "Green New Deal," 70% tax rate for high earners, meat tax, cow farts, push for privilege over equality, no borders, non-citizens voting in elections, guaranteed basic income, a boy is a girl if he has faith and just believes (man you guys sound evangelical today!), white privilege (LOL), affirmative action (racism), etc., etc.

It would help your cause if you started arguing what people were actually saying rather than the "this is what left is doing" bullshit soundbites on Fox news, talk radio, youtube videos, etc.

BTW, you do know what the "T" in LGBT stands for, right?

Which in that list isn't based in truth? I can show you examples of everything I listed.

I'm sure you can show some cherrypicked examples of extremists that you would want us to believe are mainstream.
It'll be like your "offended liberal" threads, filled with unoffended liberals.
When was the last time you stopped to talk with someone you disagreed with, rather than your usual one-sided discussion where you just tell them what they believe?
