[H]Titanfall just 6v6

Exactly. The guy above me said that he likes that having BF4 on an SSD makes him the first one on the map. However, if there is a timer to let everyone get in, I don't get why that'd be a plus. I guess the game opens faster (meaning you get to matches faster), but I personally don't think I'd care about putting games on a SSD unless they were load-and-play games like getting into a campaign or MMO.

The BF4 maps are huge and take considerably longer to load compared to the Titanfall ones.

OK, what's your point? What I'm saying is that FPS games usually have a timer before each match, which gives everyone a chance to get the map loaded before the match starts. The size of a game's maps is irrelevant to the discussion.

The timer is 80 seconds when you are in loby then about 20-30 seconds to load the level and 3 seconds before you jump from the ship.

BF's timer isn't long enough to wait for everyone. Those with slower loadtimes can sometimes be up to a minute behind.

I enjoyed being verbally abused because I wanted to try the smart pistol out and actually got a couple pilot kills with it. It was funny more than anything.

Just means they weren't moving around enough. And I got the drop, they were dead regardless of weapon.

There's no reason to be pissed about the smart pistol. People who do are silly. At first I didn't know what to think but after playing more and using it...it sucks and has too much of a limited range. It's really not deadly at all and now with the new balance update it's accuracy when firing from the hip and damage when firing from the hip, are reduced. It's not as effective unless you get a lock now.

Exactly.

It's nice enough in Attrition to farm AI, but it's tough against pilots.

I'm curious to know how much of an effect the enhanced targeting mod has, though.

I've concluded I strongly prefer Pilot only game modes

the Parkour system is the best part of Titanfall imo allowing for out moving & playing other Pilots but it starts losing its effectiveness once multiple Titans start hitting the field

Titan gameplay outside of Styder use is very mundane to me

I'm not sure if the pc version also got the update. It was suppose to be applied on the 20th according to what a message said on the main screen. I'm almost to level 50 now. Not sure if I'll regenerate but I hear you get an extra perk if you do.

It's similar to the amped pistol, it locks quicker. Still too slow and you'll be dead before you get a full lock unless you get the drop.

It's a server side adjustment from what I read. I didn't see anything about a download.

Played it over the weekend for around an hour. A lot of fun. Started with the smart pistol cleaning up on the grunts and then to the sniper and eventually the carbine. The carbine is the best gun so far. Would like to try the shotgun. Sniper is very under powered. It takes multiples hits to take somewhat out.

The campaign is the dumbest thing I have ever experienced. Why did they even include that?

My skills def need improving on the parkour part of the game.

The campaign serves only to explain what the IMC and Militia are.

Honestly though the story of the IMC has potential and if they wanted to dive deeper and explore that with a single player oriented game I would be interested to see the whole story.

I held off on playing the campaign until I had plenty of time, and the house to myself. I told myself I was going to listen to all of the story, and soak it all in.

Two missions in, I found myself wholly uninterested and completely ignoring the chatter. I only completed the campaigns, to unlock the Titan loadouts.

I tried to like it... I really did.

Titanfall is a very fun game. So far I prefer it over the more recent COD franchises. However, I don't think this game is worth $60. I paid 30 which is def the proper price for this game.

Maybe they will include more game modes in the future for free. Don't really care about getting more maps. So far they are not as repetitive as I thought they would be.

Oh, don't get me wrong... I think it's an excellent game. And as much fun as I am having with it, it is most definitely worth full price to me. (Of course, half price is still better. 😉 )

But I haven't enjoyed a MP FPS this much in a long long time.

I don't think you understood what I was getting at. The story they give you sucks, but if they were to explore the story of the IMC going from planet to planet and fighting against a militia trying to kick their mining operation out and flesh out the background and who is who (some of the commanders seem like they have interesting backgrounds. One guy defected from the IMC), it could actually be decent.

i picked the deluxe edition up for ~$46 on the mexican origin site. The wall running thing is pretty awesome. You can pick up some crazy speed going between walls. Can the titans not jump? I couldn't figure that out last night.

Titans can't jump

they can drop down or dash

Titans can also Titanfall on other Titans, pilots, AI and insta-kill them

Since I like the Attrition and the Hardpoint modes, I have been playing the Campaign over and over. I actually enjoy the some of the intro cut scenes.

It won't replace a true single player mode or anything, but I guess I generally enjoy the sci-fi lore.

That's similar to Halo 4, where the assassinations are deliciously entertaining, especially when you're sprinting after someone.
Even getting assassinated is really cool... The camera turns to see the enemy and then the screen goes black.

Yeah, I know... I'm sure I've seen that all too many times. 🙁

I found Stryders to be the most mundane of the titans, too easily killed once you close. Ogre's have the opposite problem, too slow to take cover when they need to. It's weird, I played the campaigns specifically to unlock the other titans, only to go right back to the Atlas. 😛

Likewise with the core abilities. Stryders get to run away, Ogres get extra shield, Atlas gets extra damage that completely offsets the other two assuming you have a distance weapon mounted.

I disagree. Getting assassinated is frustrating as hell. I always want to just make my guy flail and punch the guy in the face or something. Having to helplessly watch yourself get killed drives me crazy, haha.

Of course, at least its mechanics work right, unlike the drunken "targeting" system used for CoD knives.
