135lbs on a swiss....hmmm well i wouldn't be caught doing that anytime soon, just makes ya too top heavy and messes with center of balance/gravity; very easy to fall imo.

OK, I see it now.

That looks like a balance exercise, not strength.

Come on, it's only one plate.
Would you do it?

No, but then, nothing I do is dependent on that type of balance.

I do basic weight training for size, that's it. But I know of many different ways to increase specific muscular stamina and/or balance. And many exercises using balls are for balance.
I wonder what kind of benifit he'd get from that exercise? Maybe he's trying out for the Cirque De Solie as the bottom man for a Human Pyramid:laugh:

Yea but it's still about 140 lbs. That would hurt like hell to have land on your head :(

Then you don't let it fall on your head. :p

What if the guy behind you fondles your as$ and when you resist he pushes you, while popping your swiss ball with an ice pick!?!?!? :p

That is SO crazy on so many levels.

WHY squat on a SWISS BALL?! Point of the squat is to lift heavy/ reps and you CAN'T do either whilst on a dam ball...

He is building incredible core strength and balance by doing that exercise.

There are tons and I mean tons of exercises that you will not see in 90% of gyms that are just phenomenal for building athletic ability.

Go back to your bicep curls.

LOL. You have no idea what you're talking about.

I was thinking about it tonight you know how akward it would be to step off that thing when you were done with the weight on your shoulders?

If a client of mine wanted to do that, I probably wouldn't spot them, just sit back and laugh.

Yep, getting on it, staying balanced, doing 1 rep, and then getting off it, would seem to require at least 2-3 ppl helping you out, and for what benefit? Stabalizer muscles??? hehehe ezzzz there champ
