Guy wants to sue me over $200...

A guy wants to sue me over an eBay auction for a car for $200 to relist the car... wtf do I do now?

Based on your little temper tantrums in this thread, the best we can compensate you is with a ban. We don't give free pacifiers to babies around here. See ya in a few weeks.

Sue for $200? Either he's rich and wants to be an @$$ or he's very stupid.

I "offered" $10k for a showcar in Atlanta thinking my parents would pay... they didn't and now he's sending me rude ebay messages. Am I liable?

Link to auction/listing.

By offer did you ask him to end the listing? Did you do a buy it now? Copy and paste the message you sent in full.

in that case... yes. If you made the offer, you're liable for not following through. I would say you owe him the cost of a relist, but nothing more.

Uhh

Who bids on any car before asking the people responsible for paying for the car if they will or not?

As well, when you bid/win an ebay auction it's like a binding contract.

$200? There's no way it cost that much to list.

if it's on ebay, i'm not surprised it would cost that much

Well... then again I've never sold a car on eBay. But I thought there was no Final Value Fee on cars, so it costs $200 just to list? :Q

I already submitted my resume to over 10 places... not like I'm not trying. Try again?

I think theres ways around this. I had a friend who accidentally bought some ferrari for over a million dollars because he didn't know his dad had one click bidding one. Needless to say they got out of that w/o paying the several thousand dollars to relist.

Just ignore him.

That's what I plan on doing... unless you guys have a better suggestion... like something other than being complete jerks to me.

There are alot of ebay seller on here and they will always support other sellers.
