After having thought about this, I can see something positive from this: the entitled pokemons that witnessed this as it was happening got a direct dose of reality. It's horrible that this guy died because of it, but the illness has become very public to an extremely jaded and self-important generation of e-losers.

I'll never understand this mentality/outlook. When someone is as severely depressed as this young man was, his actions and decisions are not made from a clear perspective.

I could understand feeling that he was an idiot who make a hideous and tragic mistake, but to just feel no pity at all is either grossly ignorant of the nature of mental illness, or just old-fashioned callousness.
 
it's funny many of the above have a higher than thou attitude when they spend each and every night here and on other forums searching for attention all the while pointing at others and yelling attention whore.

I kept saying that he was frauding and that the cam was looped and that there was no way that he could OD on 16 mgs of xanax. I thought he was just on another xanax bender since he was a self professed self medicator. I didn't realize that he had mixed a whole bunch of other pills and alcohol as well. I didn't even believe it was real until the cops busted in. I feel like shit. In my defense though, I only saw the last 20 minutes or so of the broadcast.

I feel terrible. RIP CJ, I'm sorry I doubted you and I'm sorry that there wasn't something I could have done to help you.

See thats the kind of sick person that resides on the bodybuilding.com "misc" forums. Theres much more of them there than here though. You dont feel a single thing for some guy who clearly had real problems and killed himself over them, fine thats cool, just fuck off and keep your hateful thoughts to yourself.

As someone with unipolar disorder who has been close to suicide in the past... It took 30 weeks of counseling and a cocktail of drugs to even return to a functional human being. People who dont have help available are in unbelievable amounts of pain and dont see things situationally like people who are in their "right mind".

It's appalling how some of you react to someone who was obviously mentally ill taking their own life.

It is to bad that compassion for other people seems to be slipping away. Depression is a medical conditon just like cancer, and this young guy lost.

It seems a lot of people only care about themselves, thats to bad for humanity.

while i don't agree with egging somebody on like that, i guess this guy did threaten to kill himself numerous times before and because of that no one was taking him seriously.

in the end it is nobody's fault but his own that he is dead.
