those dudes fucking editing their posts are cowards.

So many do this here...that's a bitch ass move. Say something and stick to it. If you were wrong admit it.

So many here play both sides as compassionate and asshole, if they were in charge I am sure there'd be book burning and martial law.

I do hope that those who were "egging" him on, get busted. Those fuckers deserve every bit of punishment for it.

😕

That makes me laugh. A lot. That is all 🙂

words didn't kill this person...

This.

Besides, that woman who posed as a boy on myspace and tormented her daughter's HS rival, "egging" her on to commit suicide wasn't even charged of anything by the local DA.

I guess the US attorney's office is considering fraud charges though.

words may not have physically hurt him, but don't you think if he were given advice instead of "F***ING DO IT ALREADY" he may have changed his mind? words are almost as powerful as a punch to the solar plexus. especially considering what kind of mental state the kid was already in. i'll bet you more than half of those punks already knew he had issues, and truly wanted him to do it for their own egos.

- People tell me he's a troll and nobody calls. Staberella especially is quite a huge cynic and says that he wasn't going to die on that kind of drugs, she insists nothing is going to happen and that people should just gtfo of the thread.

That was one of the things that really bothered me. There was this guy from India, seemingly the ONLY person who cared, begging people to call the police. Instead of calling the cops, literally every single person just sits there watching.

What was the name of that phenomenon where you are less likely to take action in larger groups due to the lack of accountability? Whatever it was - this is a prime example.

"diffusion of responsiblity"

that's how kitty genovese was killed

the orginial thread is deleted....sadly i only got to page 29

no no no, you're all wrong.

It's "crowd apathy."

At least you follow that rule, sticking to asshole 100%. Congrats

WTF? You just were openly one though.

Run along child.

I wish I could cowboy up and be a real man like Alkemyst. Do you have a pamphlet I can buy? My life would be +++

Is that your "go-to" response whenever you can't think of some 3 paragraph rant on why you are the greatest man in the world?

Sad, but it is noones fault but his own. People feel they need to "blame" someone for horrible things. It is not always the case.

really?

Have you been that close to the edge?

Words can do a lot.

QFT...dartworth you are misunderstanding that you can't be held accountable for someone doing something based on 'words' vs they don't make a difference.

Again being charged with something vs it causing an incident are separate issues.

Words can kill a person, but those slinging them can't be held accountable (yet).

dude just drop it, you are projecting you own short-comings on to me. This makes you look like the asshole. You just randomly troll my posts without even seeing the context.

So like I had said, please run along child.

You'll be wasting your time trying to explain it lol.

Basically, I can call someone an idiot. If they shoot themselves, my words didn't pull the trigger, their finger did (or their toe)

Exactly...everyone is always trying to place responsibility for their actions on someone else...

it seems they teach this in school now...

If someone wants to kill themselves, by all means go for it. If they are that weak minded, then there isn't a place in society for them.

You have really missed the point...and I think you are an example of the problem.

You're right. Nobody has a true responsibility to help him, but it's a sad fucking world we live in where there are 300 (?) people watching this happen, minute by minute, doing nothing. Absolutely nothing.

Like I said, I don't expect people to go the extra mile. It's just sad that there is such a massive lack of empathy.

They didn't push him off the edge, but they weren't there to help him down, either. They stood right behind him telling him to jump.
