In and got 5 names. I hit a stretch where a bunch of my names were taken, but then I just went down the list and got others.

-In Lion's Arch, head northwest into Hooligan’s Route.
-At the Undermarket Point of Interest, find the charr karma merchant named Scornheart.
-View Scornheart’s offerings and, on the second panel, select the Hall of Monuments Portal Stone. The stone is available at no cost.
-Use the Portal Stone to access the ruins of the Hall of Monuments.

That's where I went to get mine.
 
I get in for a few seconds then keep getting booted out. Haven't made it out of the starter area yet.

I tried to open my mail and take the Hero's Band, but it never went into my inventory and I haven't been able to talk to the NPC yet. It just hangs whenever I try to do something.
 
I'm gonna say that it was a nice idea to try playing right now, but I'm thinking I'll probably wait til tomorrow to actually try to get anything done.
 
Got in, got my names, went back to customize my warrior. Played for about an hour. Pretty smooth launch so far. Game is rather fast paced which is nice.
 
Well been in for about 2.5hrs and then suddenly quit with error invalid password ??😵
Kinda need a break anyway, getting hungry

Same here. I put in a few hours on my warrior and just went back to remake my second character, then I was booted in the middle of the intro. It sounds like all the servers went down.

Having lots of fun playing a new class and new race in a new area for the first time and trying out all the weapons.

The Black Lion auction house was mostly useless. It must not have the capacity to handle this many players (and this is only head start). Most of the time items would load at all, I couldn't see what I had listed or I'd do a search then the detail buy/sell orders wouldn't come up at all. Later on, it was just completely dead and offline. They've really got to work on it or re-think their approach. It's not up to handling the economy of a live game yet.
 
Man i was in for 7 hours straight. I should of not logged off now can't get back in after taking a brake. lol

The auction house actually works good if you go into a instance and use it. Its just when you leave it was messing up.
 
Im trying so hard to get in, Arenanet blocks login servers so they can do their crap. I still need to get my names 🙁
 
Getting names might be hard, I usually have 3 primary names that I use and they are all taken, 2 are somewhat common but the 3rd, actually my nick here I have not seen too common was taken too
 
Was able to get in last night and make 2 characters but this morning I keep getting "connection error(s) detected, retrying". It's been doing this for the last hour.
 
An update but still no timeline

Got to play a bit when i got off work last night.
