I cant get over the itemisation system of this game.
All weapons are the same, only come in slightly differnt grade qualities.
So within a month or so, everyone is gonna be useing the same Quality grade of weapon(s) and have items identical to each other.
The main thing will be the "look" of your weapons as a reward for doing Raid instances.
Which to me isnt enough, I rather have a more rewarding pve system in place.
This will undoubtly end up makeing GW2 all about the pvp aspect.
The pvp does look okay in it but... just not for me I guess.
I played Aion and stopped after I realised ground pvp was only balanced when you went into the other factions side, and you soon got a insane debuff that killed your stats/movement speed = dead. Why was that a deal breaker? because Air combat wasnt fair to melee classes, ranged classes had to big a advantage, and I usually Rollplay as melee classes in RPGs.
Thats just 1 exsample, but so many pvp mmorpgs mess up the balance with the game and it ends up not being fun. I rather have a good pve focused game (without any pvp in it if needed) than one with bad pve and semi decent pvp.
That said GW2 looks better than alot of MMOs out there atm.
The animations are stunning, the world "look" alive and the lore seems decent too.
The game looks polished and nothing really screams "needs more work before you buy it"
(ei. it doesnt look like a half ready made game, that launches early, while missing content)
