Hello onebeeer2many and welcome to the forums :D,

Before you do anything
1. Make sure that you have extracted HiJackthis to a folder that is isolated before removing anything, for hijackthis makes backups within the folder it is in.
2. Reboot into safe mode
3. Close all browsers/windows explorer

fix the following, rember to kill the process in process viewer before removing (if applicable)

  • O2 - BHO: (no name) - {4DA3377A-ED17-7C93-8251-115505D17B1A} - C:\WINDOWS\System32\uloihkgm.dll

notes/additional steps

  • 1. Uninstall Spywarebegone, it is not your friend. Check this out.

hmm, log looks clean, try selecting full system scan with adaware and running it and spybot in safe mode.

Ran both in safe mode. Same thing. Adaware comes up clean. Spybot shows it but can not remove it.

Oh, btw, I have no popups and nothing bad has happened. When I ran pest patrols scanner it did find 34 things. All in Office/Documents stuff. (This is a computer that was given to my brother in law from one of the offices he manages). It is running fine. Just want to get it clean before I give the computer away.

yeh, sounds more like trojans that spyware, just delete the files that pest control finds, you might have to run pest control with it in safemode with networking.

I use it as a standard combattant for spyware infested machines on an almost daily basis. And yes it does intall a couple of issues of its own, but they are remarkably harmless and Spybot will then get rid of any remaining traces. The thing about Bulletproof is that it finds and rids your system of SO much more than either Ad-aware or Spybot. Then simply uninstall the working demo, install Spybot and be happy. :)

I ran bulletproof a few days ago on a computer that had spy sweeper installed and operational. Bulletproof found over 500 pieces of spyware and allowed their removal. I've seen similar results with other programs (thought to be marvelous) on other machines.

Okay, just came back from the page you linked as well as a couple of pages linked from there. It DOES appear that Spybot makes a case against Bulletproof and there may certainly be some questionable practices going down at Bulletproof. That is shameful yet I cannot help but stand by the results I have obtained using bulletproof. I've yet to encounter a single problem because of its use. Perhaps I'm just lucky?

Hello lynaskin and welcome to the forums :),

Before you do anything
1. Make sure that you have extracted HiJackthis to a folder that is isolated before removing anything, for hijackthis makes backups within the folder it is in.
2. Reboot into safe mode
3. Close all browsers/windows explorer

fix the following, rember to kill the process in process viewer before removing (if applicable)

  • O2 - BHO: (no name) - {32528326-1C59-6CAC-26CD-95413EFE1DB3} - C:\WINNT\system32\twckxbuy.dll

Can someome give me some comments on this log? CUrrently, the largest gripe I have is a page called "ms-search" comes up wnery time I dont type in "www" before the rest of the url. Additionally, the older version of HJT kept getting closed every time I ran it. SOmething VERY malicious in my opinion. Thankfully the newer version would run successfully. ANyway, thanks for the comments.

Is it possible to install the programs for cleaning up the computer onto a USB thumb drive or a cd so that it can be run without installing on computer you're trying to clean up?

Reason I ask is that I'm not sure how adaware would handle the process where it reboots and then scans things because I'm assuming the registry settings won't be there. Am I mistaken? Basically, I'm trying to see if it's possible to avoid installation of programs because if I go to someone's house who has dial-up, the updates will take quite some time
