However, I am with the others here who think spending ~$30K on an accord is pretty outrageous. I always thought accords had pretty high quality interiors, but for some reason the interior as pictured in your pictures looks surprizingly cheap. Possibly it's that wood trim that's giving me that overall impression, because that wood trim looks terribly cheesy. This is just my opinion though, I'm sure it's a great car in person.

GOD CAN ANYONE HERE READ?

IT IS 30K INCLUDING TAX, TITLE, LICENSE AND F*CKING INTEREST.

OH YEAH, AND F*CKING EXTENDED WARRANTY.

haha...read that guys!

but you shouldve gotten the g35

Congrats on the new car...

Trust me - the interior is the best part of the car. One of the main reasons why I bought my 04 Accord was because of the interior. I think the leather is also having a slight effect on you. I sat in a Camry and Altima and the interiors felt and looked like ass compared to the Accords. It makes my friend's IS300 interior seem dinky and something that should be in a fvcking Kia. Even she herself said my interior was 100x nicer than hers. That wood gives it a bad/cheap feel IMO, that's why I don't like it. The satin metal interior trim is a lot nicer imo.

Just want to keep the mats new and clean (they're under the stuffs that I cut out for them), you know, so when I sell it in a couple of years, the interior is still brand new? ;)

Nothing like buying something to never enjoy...do you have plastic wrap on your furniture at home too?

you could always buy a set of new mats from Honda now and stick them in the closet until you sell it.

Not trying to be harsh as realistic :)....I knew someone that did this same thing + even had their furniture + guest mattress covered in plastic wrap....they had a four door american something fullsized and cloth seat covers as well over the leather. I couldn't sleep on the damn bed, for one it seemed like a vinyl halloween costume and two my skin wasn't breathing against the plastic under the sheets....they could have at least put a mattress pad over it...maybe it had one, I just know it sucked.

Seriously buy some factory mats for $80 or some costco ones for $40 and put the original mats in a closet....enjoy the car it's going to depreciate and the difference between plastic wrapping and just taking care of it is not going to be much $$$...I have a light grey interior and at 101k miles it's showing average wear for maybe a 50k car...most think I have replaced my carpets. I got the car at 37k and it was in bad interior shape.

Dooode... I'm not like that, I just don't like the plastic/rubber mats that you buy from stores, so I trimmed my own; and what's so enjoyable by wipping your shoes on new carpet? I just do things that are sensible, like protecting light color carpets from getting dirty fast, if you have it, you'd do the same thing. No, I don't wrap my leathers in plastic, and yes, I can be wasteful when it comes to things that counts, but getting carpets dirty and have to vacuum/clean/shampoo every fcuking week is not something I look forward to.

Did you read what I posted? I have a light grey interior, almost beige....I don't really track any kind of dirt and grime into my car...if you stay on concrete and non-muddy environments I don't think there is a problem....I can't say I have been in many cars that are kept clean to see any problems on the mats. My wife has a light tan interior as well...no problems and she have about 40k on the clock.

vacuuming is about all you should have to do once a week if that....with plastic mats even shaking them out will leave dust / dirt around the edges. Shampooing a car is a rare need. That's usually reserved for neglect or a problem.

Absolutely every 'mark' that hit my carpets came out with some Folex and a damp sponge. 5 mins tops.

Vinyl mats have a place in mud and snow or harsh environments. Vinyl mats do not have a place in even a semi-luxury/sports car/SUV. Same way in a home, having a vinyl mat under a rolling car is one thing, having them mark out pathways through a house is another.

Congrats.
You chose and strange bunch of things to take pictures of, the side controls?
I would've preferred seeing a shot of the car itself (as I have no idea how different it looks from the 2000 model).

Exact same car - although his is a different color and is a step up (EX V6). His also on the exterior has body colored side trim and I think comes with mudguards stock. (7 spoke alloys as well)
