Don't let the door hit you on your way to the culmination of your ideology. What's worse there are millions with out insurance tho... This guy that did the WORST thing ever gets medical....
Something just isn't right all the way around on this situation. If it were China, it would have been done with and you know china picks up the bullet casing and mails it to the family to make them pay for the bullet! Man that country is awesome in SO many ways.
Maybe sooner if they come up with a better model. No reason he should be denied the newest and best.California had 13 executions from 1976-April 17, 2009 (33 years)...chances are that pacemaker you put in today will have to be replaced in about 10 years.

It works faster. I'd definitely argue not as well, but that's because China is overzealous with its killings. I am in general against capital to begin with, but there is an irony in the state paying $50k for this guy's pacemaker when they've already said he should die.If I think China's death penalty works 50 times better then our country
Come on give up his name so you can really break HIPAA laws!
Guys coming in for a new pacemaker, guess where he's coming from.
If you guessed, Death Row, you'd be right. Good going CA, $50K of taxpayer dollars down the drain.
You could leave a wire loose.
I don't think it matters to him (highland). It is not his place, nor yours, to kill a man in custody.
He would be betraying both the State and his Hippocratic Oath.
What did he do, specificly? This guy that did the WORST thing ever gets medical....
No kidding, I'd at least want to read the trial records first.Letting him die on the operating table sounds good, but Murphy's Law would almost guarantee that new evidence would emerge proving him innocent.
Probably. These assholes are apparently the only ones that realize that money is finite, that the state of California is bankrupt, and that putting a pacemaker in a guy who is about to get the chair isn't helping anyone.Aren't all the assholes that want this guy dead the same assholes that scream 'rationing'.
Question: Is the pacemaker itself that pricey or is that the cost of parts plus labor?
Pacer itself costs 30K(or at least, thats what they charge), hospital charges 15K for use of the facility/nurses/drugs/etc., ~3K for the cardiologist, 2K for me.
