Aw hell, I went ahead and picked it up. I only buy a couple full price AAA titles per year anyway.

Even at 12 MB/s, it is going to take me an hour and a half to download.

I've avoided all the console coverage and this thread so I'm going into this completely blind.

Aye it launches 1am UK time so I'll probably give it 1-2 hours and then quickly report back. I'll probably give it an hour or so on my 2560x1600 30" and then I'll give it an hour or so on the sofa with my 125" projector and a control pad. I'll report back quickly before bed with any bugs, what the frame rate is like etc.

Just installed the game ready Nvidia drivers as well, thanks for whoever mentioned that.

Specs in sig.

Downloading at 3.3 MB\s, so I'll have it sometime next week. Stupid AT&T Uverse.

I'll be playing on an i7 with a certain amount of RAM (I don't remember) and a GTX 780ti on an Asus Swift at whatever resolution this thing is. I'll let you guys know how many prostitutes I murder.

You don't think that maybe your cpu is bottlenecking you?

I have rarely bought a AAA title on launch day. I think just Diablo 3 in my life. And that game was a terrible disappointment.

But I caved in and bought it for $29~ USD via a slickdeals FP deal just now.

Now downloading the 60 gig client at 7 MB/sec... 2 hours and 30 minutes remaining.

Looks like I can start playing around 9:30pm EST. This should be fine after dinner with the wife. Maybe I'll put some sleeping pills in her food. :D

I'm hoping my budget rig can run it well at med/high settings 1080p (i3-2120, HD6870, 8 gigs ram).

Will be seeing how my desktop and laptop play this game. I'm interested to see how the GT 650m and an underclocked i7-3720qm at 1080p will perform. If it can do 1080p at 30fps, I will be amazed.

I expect that my desktop can play this game just fine though.

Edit: Drivers updated :)
Edit 2: This game may be frustrating for some Windows users...

I have a countdown timer. Minute and a half. No idea what is happening.

A patch? I guess? Or for some reason pre-load didn't finish downloading it. pretty big. Almost 200 mb so far.

Ok, now pre-allocating. Isn't that what pre-loading does? I don't understand.. I don't really care about a few minutes extra just don't understand. haha
