A coworker gave me 1.5 lb. Apparently it's 1/3 lard. Is there anything specific I should do with it. I don't have a grill.
Make some burgers in a pan?

venison chili
What do you do with ground beef, bison, pork, chicken, lamb?
I guess I was hoping for something that complemented its flavor.
Won't a spicy chili just hide it?

Best thing to do with deer meat. Hide the flavor and make sure you don't chew it too long. (I've noticed the longer you chew venison, the more off it tastes).
Note: I dislike deer meat's flavor.![]()
It's cause you are tasting the adrenaline in the meat most likely. Meat from animals that die while under distress tend to have their meat taste very "gamey" in comparison. Which is something you either like or don't. I like my meat gamey and not gamey. It's all good to me.

First, venison is very lean so I'm not sure where you are getting your 1/3 lard from.
Second I use it in place of ground beef all the time and no one notices the difference.
Venison is super lean without it, but 1/3rd is a lot.The processing plant actually added lard to the mix. It is a common practice.
