What I mean is, if this team/program has the potential of dramatically affecting co2 emissions, the path of climate change, etc, why aren't they getting more play? Who's their media/outreach manager and why aren't they putting on their try-hard hat? Who's not talking in front of a camera that should be?

they are consultants. they get paid to do this. its not a non-profit. I'm just saying that there are people out there doing stuff, instead of yelling at people.

And that's great, but it isn't enough. We need the public to get off their butt and demand the government take action. Instead, we have a government looking to roll back rules on fuel efficiency, lax oversight of methane release from fracking sites, cities that still focus on mobility by personal automobile, etc...

Yeah but as a kid she doesn't really have the ability to 'do stuff' given that she's still young. She can however have an opinion, and express what others have been trying to express but don't have a voice to do so. In addition, she's giving voice to the next generation that has zero opportunity to represent themselves in a world that barely regards millenials as members of society, despite the fact they're in their 30's now. There's a reasonable chance that her generation will be the last one to see our world in anything resembling its current form. I think she's done a great job.

Being a spokesperson does "do stuff." The majority of motivational speakers haven't really done anything impressive in their lives, yet inspire many. MLK's effectiveness came from his ability to get other people to take action, etc.

Right, I was agreeing with this principal. I more meant "do stuff" as in doing physical tasks that either pull co2 from the atmosphere, lower the globe's temperature, or researching something that can do one of those two things. That's something she's clearly too young for at this point.

Obviously being a spokesperson is one of the most important parts of large-scale changes, if not the most important part... you don't even get to start the process if you can't get anyone else on board.

useful things related to climate change.

teams like the one my wife works on, they help fortune 500s set and reach science based emissions goals, renewable energy goals and more broadly, inclusive climate change goals. most of the goals are net zero or better. the team she works on is probably responsible for some very measurable part of reductions in the US.
But that is mnot what railer was speaking about when he said -- many useful things! Plus I would contend that just because you are working on controlling emissions is NOT the same as traveling around the world and in support ofclimate change!!

If we don't stop Greta, then the Obamas and Clintons will make her the 46th President of the United States of America.

Do YOU want our nation rules by a demented Swedish Queen who will open our borders to Islamists and FORCE us to be slaves to them!?!?
You sound scared...perhaps triggered is the right word...

I'm not sure how this nobody ended up "person of the year" but it is TIME magazine. Do I care who they vote for their person of the year? Nope. They are as relevant to me as the ants in my back yard.
I just love it when adults get all hot and bothered by a little firl who is doing things that they are not doing -- as in climate change awareness.....TRIGGERED!!

But he never went upon a UN speech and made like an emotional tampon like Greta. All of which... accomplished nothing... all of which... made goals and actions of nothing....

Good, the more publicity this brat gets, the better for everyone to see how she's being used to push an excuse to steal the people's money.

And this is what repeatedly confirms to me that the right is composed of people that are pieces of shit.

Right? I know that I too am super-outraged by the Establishment Elites wanting to take my money so I can buy a 600+ hp electric car that gets 100 mpg equivalent. What a scam these Global Warming Alarmists are pushing!

The best (or worst) part is that if the mods were to do anything about his casual death threat towards someone because he disagrees with their speech, he'd likely claim that it's his free speech that's being infringed upon.
ROFL. Death threat? Don't get hysterical. If her propaganda boat actually sank, then other the other conventionally powered boats surrounding her - the ones carrying all the camera crews and media and etc. - would just pluck her out of the water. And she would scowl and look miserable and be soaking wet and would look even more ridiculous. And I think that would be pretty funny. Try not to get your panties in such a twist over such trivial things.

It's fourth quarter, fourth down and Trump is quarterbacking his Pink Pachyderms at their own 1 yard line, three seconds on the clock. Ball is snapped, Trump drops back and rifles the Hail Mary long bomb all the way down to the 15 yd line.

Trump is confident his star receiver Moscow Mitch will make the catch and run it in. Moscow Mitch is in position, Trump is seeing stars in his eyes for being named Most Valuable Player of the Year, but wait! It's linebacker Greta Thunberg making a clean leaping interception and is running in the clear for a game winning 85 yd TD run!

Trump is now seen lying on his back flailing his arms and legs and screaming for pass interference but the refs are completely ignoring him. Moments later, Greta is seen accepting her MVP award while Trump is seen glaring at her, involuntarily making stabbing motions with both arms, first with the right and then with the left over and over again.

His Red MAGA Madhatter fans are besides themselves claiming the game was rigged from the very start because the game officials were too quick to call penalties on their team while not calling penalties on the other team from a game they played twelve years ago.

Please link to videos/pics of this vast fleet you speak of that accompanied her across the Atlantic. Every video I've seen that was posted from the Malizia, the zero emission/carbon neutral racing sailboat she took across the Atlantic, showed absolutely no other ships/boats/anything other than open expanses of water. In other words, they were very much alone on an 18m (~60 ft) boat.

So, you've made the contention that there were support/media vessels accompanying her on her voyage, prove it.

Or are you just another deceiver?
