Like I said in the other thread, if I get a racing wheel and this, I'm totally down. If only just to crash into other racers. :awe:
Is there any confirmation of what we will be able to carry over from Prologue?
I'm surprised Amazon isn't doing the $10 credit deal. Walmart is giving $10 on Fallout:New Vegas, $10 on GT5, and $20 on Fable3.
Gran Turismo 5 Release Update
Posted by Taku Imasaki // Producer, SCEA
We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.
We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.
We’ll have more information for you in the near future.
I got to play it briefly(there was only 1 demo station) @ PAX 2010 (one nice thing about living in Seattle) and it sure looked ready to go. I asked the booth monkey if they were firm on the RD and he assured me (for what it's worth) that the game will ship for a Nov 2 release date.
MOTHER FUHHEERRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The FORZA team has to be laughing a little inside. I'm not going to be surprised if they revise it to a Spring release.
I think all we know at this point is that the cars you've unlocked in Prologue will be placed in Arcade mode in the full GT5 game.
Maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part, but I'm inclined to think they will hold to their holiday release to take advantage of retail season and the additional revenue versus a Spring 2011 release or later.
Probably my fault guys. I NEVER preorder games, but I did for GT5 yesterday. Donning torch-proof flamesuit and and pitchfork-proof armor.
I'm reminded of School by Nirvana:
Wouldn't you believe it? It's just my luck.
There's no GT; no GT!
I'm sure there will be a GT5 night, but first you need to see the game in your hands. It's been delayed so much I wouldn't trust a release date until you actually buy it.
