Besides, I haven't even decided if I'll vote yet. If Texas was in danger of going to Obama, then McCain would be losing by a landslide in many other "red states". But with Palin shoring up the base, more than likely Texas will go to McCain, so my vote wouldn't matter much. It would be amusing if Obama won the popular vote but lost the electorate.. the libs on this board would go apes***.

If you guys are so eager to wager your dough, try Intrade and let me know A) if you make any money and B) what your accountant thinks about it. I'm very curious about that site.

I don't think the FBI is worried about a private bet of $50, and I don't see the relevance of whether or not you vote to the equation. It doesn't sound to me like you really believe McCain will win, so in that respect I think we are on the same page.

Obama isn't too much into himself -- people are just too much into him. People are holding him up as some Messiah and he's not.
The guy wrote TWO books about himself!!!!!!
I think McCain wrote 5 books.
How many of those books were about himself though??

I believe only 2 of them are, the first one released in 1999 after McCain had spent 16 years in the Senate and was a national figure.

Obama's first book about himself was written before he took office in the Senate.
So McCain has written at least two books about himself, thanks for proving my point.
I think you missed my point. Obama wrote his first book about himself before he had anything to write about.

How many other state Senators write books about themselves?

You do know that you share your religious distaste of *gasp* gambling with Osama Bin Laden, don't you?

eskimo, Obama is 47 and has been in the Senate for less than 4 years. Before that he was a state Senator and then a community organizer.

Other than that he has done nothing wroth talking about.

Despite this the guy writes a book about himself at age 43. And then writes another book a couple of years later.

Compare that to McCain who spent 5 1/2 years as a POW and then 16 years in the Senate BEFORE he wrote a book about himself. McCain was 63 when he wrote his first autobiographical book.

One guy had a life time worth of experiences to write about, the other guy did not.

You realize people write books about themselves all the time, right? So often in fact that it is it's own genre, the autobiography. I would love to hear why you think that Barack Obama had nothing to write about.. because a lot of people who bought the book seem to disagree with you.

Instead of calling attention to your weakness - how about offering something that means something to you...

It's easy money, isn't it?

He had an exotic childhood and wrote about it. Not many state senators have that kind of experience. Again, McCain wrote five books about himself.

Hahaha, so suddenly YOU are the judge of what experiences are worth writing about? You can't possibly be serious. Now I have an honest question for you, who's books do you think sold more copies? Shouldn't that tell you who had something worth writing about?

$20 is the loud cry of the gutless pussy. Where money is concerned, Gladys, "trust me" doesnt' cut it. Oldsmoboat is holding the $200 total Sinsear and I put up in his paypal account, but, of course, there are transaction fees. $20 is chicken-ass chump change, chump.

Not to mention being the first black President of the Harvard Law Review and (contrary to the Republican innuendo) accomplishing quite a bit as the director of a consortium of Christian-based charities in inner city Chicago right out of college.

Cant wait till the polls come out next week.
I want to see if the country is really sick and tired of attacks and smear,
or if that distracts them from home foreclosures, job loss and dead
Americans in Iraq.

The press naturally will think her speech was great.
The press is in it for the dog fight, not the facts.

And I know Mccains speech tomorrow night. So do you.
He will be as pleasant at candy and pretend the GOP
is the party of unity, ideas and acceptance.
You cant tell me the old timers in the GOP like Cheney
and Karl Rove are not pulling the Mccain/Palin strings.
It smells of Rove.

And you do know that gambling is legal in some states? Roulette used to be my game but my last couple runs in Shreveport were quite poor. Thinking about heading back and trying out a Hold'em tourney though.

(Watches perk epic fail at making an equivalency between terrorists and normal religious people. More "guns n' religion" talk from the out-of-touch elitist left.)

And no I do not know if Obama will win or lose the election.. it's the dem's election to lose.. but Palin definitely helps McCain with the base, and the conservative base may be the ultimate difference in this election, since nobody listens to Hollywood liberals and the youth vote never shows.

The conservative base has seriously shrunk in the last 4 years. It is simply no longer large enough in order to win an election with. Look at trends in partisan identification and you will see that the number of registered republicans has gone way down in recent years.

And what's up with your Rush Limbaugh terminology? Don't you feel sort of silly talking like that?

GOP = dogfight eh? Arresting the opposing party is what, good policy? Public service? Oh, no? I believe you called it unity. Your rhetoric rings hallow under the war cry of your heroes.

Like what they did to Governor Siegelman of Alabama?

I don't give a fuck what you've already bet. From my standpoint, you're acting all fucking high and mighty making posts against McCain and Palin, bitching and moaning. I thought you'd like free money since you're Obama's new bed mate.

I come along and bet $20. that McCain will win the Presidency, and you call me a pussy for only betting $20. How Lame.
