Of course he's not happy. As Governor of New Jersey his piece of the bloated $60,000,000,000.00 pork filled goody pie is tens of billions of dollars for his State and his constituents. It's his job to get as much money and assistance as he can from the Feds.

And it's the job of the Federal Government to aid those hit by natural disasters.

About $27,000,000,000.00 are needed for recovery, the other $34,000,000,000.00 is just fat juicy pork payoffs for corporations and politicians. It's Christie's job to get as much for N.J. as he can.

Did you personally go down and price out the damage? If so could you please post the results of your finding that you will be sending to the Gubermint?

Correct, so give them enough money to do the job without any pork. Maybe 10 to 15 billion to start and after 6 months see if they need additional funding.

That'll all go to pork anyhow without ever actually helping recovery and you and I both know this.

Another day, another thread where the fucking morons on the right defend the all or nothing decision making process (either it's a perfect bill/solution or it's not going to happen). Anyone looking for the perfect solution for every issue will be looking forever.

Here's a hint, just because the governer is requesting 60 billion doesn't mean congress has to give him that much. In fact the way it used to work is that a bill would be introduced and it would be debated, compromises made, and then voted on.

You can't get anything done if you don't get it started first.

Meh. When its a southern state hit by tornados or hurricanes the money is voted promptly.
When its a northeastern state its pork.

I actually approve of the $27,000,000,000.00 ($27 Billion) figure, so your claim is, once again, a lie.
I fixed your spelling for you again too.

Citation please. I heard Obama once spent $200 million a day when visiting India and required 1/3 of the US Navy as an escort.

The reason why he cites that is because that's what the congressional republicans want to give. He's a hack and a moron.

Cliff deal included wind energy tax credit expected to cost $12.1 billion this year.*******/xg7FL
Sandy relief shouldn’t include fisheries in Alaska.
Sandy relief shouldn’t include $5.3B to the Army Corps of Engineers (that’s more than their annual budget).
Sandy relief shouldn’t include $56.8 million for charting the debris from last year’s Japanese tsunami.
Sandy relief shouldn’t include $41 million for eight military bases including Guantanamo Bay.
Sandy relief shouldn’t include $100 million for the federal Head Start day care program.
Sandy relief shouldn’t include $188 million for new Amtrak lines (not repair, whole new lines).
Sandy relief shouldn’t include $20 million for a nationwide “Water Resources Priorities Study”.
Sandy relief shouldn’t include $4 million for the Kennedy Space Center. [Which is in Florida. Which was completely untouched or affected by Hurricane Sandy.
Oh, btw, that Corps of Engineers Sandy funding? Obama Admin has it earmarked for addressing "impacts associated with a changing climate.”]

I prefer my tax dollars get used for some relief and rebuilding. But no, %40ish percent of it goes for interest payments to the federal reserve and other US. Institutions that hold our debt.

Another big chunk goes to the social security trust that politicians have been borrowing from for decades.

A smaller chunk goes to interest payments to foreign holders of debt.

It's time to chapter 13 this country so simple shit like disaster relief can get funded.

Don't forget one thing here...
While Christie says words like unfair, second class, second rate, while Christie says words like that, a bill is still sitting on his desk UNSIGNED. A bill passed by both the NJ house and senate, a bill giving same sex marriage rights.
THAT BILL still sits unsigned on the desk of gov Christie for one and only one reason.
And so... I have NO crock tears for that obviously upset governed Christie.
Does he want to know the true feeling and or meaning of "fairness", of "second class citizen" ?
Do you governor ??? Do you really ???
