I don't necessarily go the speed limit when I drive, but I'm generally not going to traveling faster than the flow of traffic or more than 15 over (if it's an interstate/expressway). One speeding ticket when I was 18 was enough for me.

It should be a 65, but they made it a 55 so they can ticket you. It's got 4 fucking lanes going one way.. It should be 65 damn-it!

I'm guessing they're hurting for money or something because he didn't even say anything. He just got my license and registration and then gave me the ticket basically. I was like, "wtf, srsly..." As soon as he did that he just setup his detector right where I was and started watching people. There was another cop just ahead of him too. They're out for blood. 🙁

You would still have been speeding. By a good margin.

Come on, you're being ridiculous. The only time you do 80 and not expect to get ticketed is on roads with posted limits of 70-75, and you're still flirting with danger if the limit is 70.

Nope, it's really simple to not speed. You look at the speedometer and don't go above the posted limit. I drive every day as if I'm taking the driving test again. If you go 40 on a 35 zone you instantly fail with the test. You don't believe me? Come drive with me, I promise you it'll take us 65 minutes to go 65 miles. I have horrible luck, so with my luck if I was to go 70 in a 65 zone I'd be the one to get pulled over. Not worth saving a few minutes to risk a ticket that'll run me hundreds of dollars.

It's a 55 because there are major on/off ramps ever quarter to a half mile once you get past West Linn, and it's usually busy. It's one of the only stretches of freeway in Oregon where you'll constantly see speed traps. The only people who speed on 205 are tourists or idiots.

As someone pointed out. Near cities they slow things down. The 101 and 880 as they run through San Francisco and Oakland slow down to 55. It's a 4 lane road each way too. You did 25 over. Stop whining.

Whine if you get slapped 10 over. You're a disgrace because everytime I think of myself through my 18-21 phase (I'm only 23 right now) I was never as immature as you. Thank goodness for learning to drive at 16 and still not getting a ticket because I don't drive like the stereotypical 16-21 year old who bumps up the insurance rates...
 
I got raped yesterday by an auto insurance quote after moving back to Michigan. More than double what I was paying in Indiana, screw that.

its called driving with the flow of traffic, if you were actually driving the speed limit you would be a serious risk to everyone else on the road at that time

even out here in bum fuck nowhere people drive 75-80 99% of the time
