Pro tip, before you speed, get to know the area, if it is safe to speed. There are some places I wouldn't go 5 over because of all the cops, yet I see morons doing 10->15 over all the time (and nice shiny blue/red lights all the time)

The only defense that sometimes works for speeding on highways is claiming you were following the flow of traffic. You've already admitted only 3 cars were going as fast as you so that won't work. You're screwed on that one.

As another person mentioned the safe following distance at that speed is over a football field in length. I doubt you were giving the car in front of you that much space. Again, you're screwed.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you end up having to get rid of your car because of this. You obviously aren't bright enough to be trusted with a car.

Truth. I still speed a bit here and there but not NEARLY as much as I used to. I've only ever gotten 2 tickets, and both for speeding.. but they ran me like 600+ total and 7 total points on my license. F that.

safe speed on highway is what everyone else is doing. Fucking Toronto drivers are now approaching 130km/h on Highway 401 as the "norm" when there is no congestion. The posted limit is 100.

130? What time of the day are you able to get up to that speed? In the last year, I think traffic flow has topped out at around 115 for me.. and that construction zone by Pearson... ugh..
