You need to learn to take a hint. It should have been obvious you weren't welcome at the camp as soon as she started not telling you what was happening, not picking up the phone, etc. That said, kick her out of your place.

In all seriousness, the thing was sketchy from the start and you probably should have just bailed.

The horse is named Hidalgo. He obviously got in a fight with the horse.

OP, your first responsibility is to your internship, do not forget this fact. This situation with Amber's friends will never be understood because people such as these do not act with logical reasoning. Avoid Amber for the duration of your internship since interaction with her has proven to be detrimental for you. Do not ignore her, so much as keep away from her. Do not open yourself up to her again.

Amber and her friends are not people you can trust. Your reaction was good and leaving was the best thing you could do.

It is possible you may have been seen as a troublemaker in some sense. Such as possibly hitting on Amber, getting in the way, or even expecting to be accepted as a guest within an inhospitable group.

There is still time left to this weekend, Arizona is full of state and national parks. My favorite is Walnut Canyon National Park. Do not lose the rest of your weekend over this situation, get out and enjoy.

If something like that had happened to me I would have been pretty pissed... probably would have grabbed the baseball bat out of my trunk and gone back to the campsite. Wouldn't have hit anyone with it but I would have put the threat there so that they would know I was pissed... and that I am crazy enough to retaliate that way.

And then you'd have a bunch of drunk rednecks pissed off at you on their home turf(a trailer park)
Being a man in this situation means walking away, not pulling some retarded crap.

Johnny Cash, one of the manliest men ever, said it best "You gotta know when to hold them, know when to fold them, know when to walk away and when to run"
This is a situation where you walk away or run. The OP obviously didn't have any aces up his sleeve.
A baseball bat is hardly an ace for you either.

Sounds like the OP isn't the brightest when taking "hints".

If I was in your situation I would have called her ONCE...let a message...maybe called her ONE MORE TIME in the evening...if she didn't answer I would have left her there.

The perfect response, in the perfect thread truly merits the resurrection of the Famous MichaelD Quote of The Week. It's been almost two years since the last one. This one is a real winner.

First of all the OP didn?t lower himself to the level of those animals, and doing so he now have the ace in hand because can press charge if he wanted too.

It could be Hank & Hidalgo thinking that the OP is moving into their territory.

Right, isn't that "The Gambler" by Kenny Rogers?

Upon furthur thought I don't think that either of them wrote it, I just said Jonny Cash because I've been listening to him a lot and I have a version of him singing it.
If the man in black repeats it, they are as good of his words as anyone elses.

Johnny Cash > Kenny Rogers

Cheers!

It's definitely a Kenny Rogers song, however Johnny Cash very well could have sang a version of it before. However, I still think your point is valid and the OP did the right thing by folding by walking away.

Yeah, you are right. Although it's really neither of their songs, a man named Don Schlitz wrote it. I do have a version of Cash singing though, I just freaking listened to it to make sure I wasn't going crazy.
