They really show off those rear drum brakes. With wheels like that you need 4 wheel discs. Looks good on the front crappy on the back, the rotor adds some contrast to the black.

Well at first glance I thought you had 4 spare tires on. Black on Black in a dark shot just looks funny.

Also I agree with "#2: rims are typically only nice looking if they are 19 or bigger" but it depends on the car. With small cars like Civics and Sentras I'd say 17"s look nice.

You all should stay away from cars.

This coming from a guy who drives a Civic with a fart can.......

College student, can't afford a G35 or a 3 series. Unless you have heard my exhaust then don't make any assumptions.

Also, it is not practical to put 17s on my car because it is smaller than the 2001+ models. You CAN, but it won't fit as well. It will also look fugly if it isn't lowered more (SUV status). The civic SI 2000 comes with a 15" wheel. So with this size tire and wheel it comes to as close as spec as it will.

I picked up a set of new Rotas last week. Got them installed at discount tires with yokohama yk520s. Going to sell my old gold enkeis so i can pay off the bill for the tires. Hoping to save up enough money to buy a lip and a set of shocks next month.

I bet that muffler really lets the air move when connected to that 1 inch pipe. Ever swat aimlessly in the air while driving thinking there's a swarm of bees in the car?

They all sound bad......some of them even worse. Especially the ones with the awsome "BuZZZZZZzZZzzZzzZZzZZZZZzZzZzZzZzZZZ" under heavy acceleration.

I have not heard your exhaust, no. But I assume your car has 4 cylinders? Then I pretty much know what it sounds like.

For the record....

even though I don't like the wheels... ignore all the people talkin crap about your car... if you like em thats all that matters...

also you can only tell so much from a photo... and those arent clear photos anyway..

Well I agree it is really black, I never disagreed with that. I went from gold (flashy) to black (more subtle). I like it that way becaue it looks a lot cleaner, when you roll up next to me you will know they are not steelies. All I can say is, to each his own.

But the misinformation in this thread is astounding....should've seen it coming from a pc tech forum though. doh. Don't assume by the cars that you see on the streets with ebay parts....

Black wheels look too much like the old rusty wheels on my bus:

Look at the rear wheel

Here's the improvement from just rattlecanning the front pair:
One White Shoe

EDIT: Yeah, I need to get some trim rings for those. But they're at the bottom of my to-do list since I'm getting ready to prep my Carroll Shelby alloys for a set of Vredsteins. 🙂
