Got New Wheels

NaOH

Diamond Member
I picked up a set of new Rotas last week. Got them installed at discount tires with yokohama yk520s. Going to sell my old gold enkeis so i can pay off the bill for the tires. Hoping to save up enough money to buy a lip and a set of shocks next month.

I 'm not a fan and I'll tell you why.....

#1: at first glance it like like you have no wheel at all and your just missing all your hub caps.

#2: rims are typically only nice looking if they are 19 or bigger

When I see black wheels I just think they look tacky...they look too much like the junk steel wheels that come with the spare tire.

That's my big issue.

shhh...I keep that wing in my trunk, so when I need "M4d Sp3eD Yo!" I screw it on.

Well at first glance I thought you had 4 spare tires on. Black on Black in a dark shot just looks funny.

Also I agree with "#2: rims are typically only nice looking if they are 19 or bigger" but it depends on the car. With small cars like Civics and Sentras I'd say 17"s look nice.

Edit: Solid black on black is a hard look to pull off, most people opt for a silver/chrome lip on the wheel like this.

Don't steelies come in 14" not 15"........by looking at the size itself you can tell they are not steelies.

You all should stay away from cars.

Bronze or gold looks way better on black cars. The only cars that I think look good with black wheels are luxury black cars.

for big suv's = 22+
for small suv = 20+ (low profile tires also)
big baller cars (Merc S class size) = 19-22
mid size = 18+
small = 17+

Yeah, gold really "pops" when you see it on a black car.
