wow I figured you wouldn't bite as quickly as that.

It is true after looking the receipt I did not pay $.50, it seems shocking I know. 19.22 gallons of Premium @ $4.02.

But the way I see it you just admitted to posting bullshit lies. That worked incredibly well.

and IDC should have posted his thread months ago too so that all can see that you guys say I am the only one not entitled to an opinion.

So you guys have aired out for all to see your bullshit.

Opinions do not equal lies. What I did was lie. That is what you do. I really don't care about your crazy posts in threads that are opinion. That is fine.

The constant lying you feel you have to do is not fine.

If you have an opinion and people also want to hear that opinion, you shouldn't have to lie to prove that your opinion is better.

It makes your argument look weak and makes people think you have an objective.

Facts > Opinion > Lie

Your posts start off from the basis that Lies > Opinion > Facts

Article on why gas prices are so high. Also note that a refinery is closing down due to lack of demand and actually losing money (US Virgin Islands - didn't say whether they supply gas to the mainland US or not).

Year over year demand in the US was down 6% and gas is (still) at an all time high for this time of year and expected to go over $4.00 in the Spring.

Gas in Lexington has fallen to as low as $3.23 (or lower with discounts). One station raised to $3.49 on Friday but others actually lowered by a few cents after that. I suspect it will raise in the coming week or so.

Our refineries on the eastcoast run on brent. Brent is still @ a 10 dollar premium to wti light sweet.

That is why gas prices are still high. Brent is 110ish not 98ish.

According to Wiki there was only one refinery on the Virgin Islands so they will have to get gas shipped in now.

I doubt they shipped any gas to the U.S. from there

I don't think this is the article you meant to post.

Also note that a refinery is closing down due to lack of demand and actually losing money (US Virgin Islands - didn't say whether they supply gas to the mainland US or not).

http://news.yahoo.com/major-oil-refinery-close-us-virgin-islands-124258129.html

Losses at Hovensa, a joint venture of U.S.-based Hess Corp. and Venezuela's state-owned oil company, have totaled $1.3 billion over the past three years and were projected to continue due to reduced demand caused by the global economic slowdown and increased refining capacity in emerging markets, said Brian K. Lever, president and chief operating officer of Hovensa LLC.

So the real question is do you pay the $4.83/gal price (~ $5.00/gal) or do you drive a couple miles and get the the $3.49/gal price (~ $3.00/gal)?

Can't speak for drivers in LA but I suspect probably the same as for me in Chicago.

When downtown it can take up to 2 hrs to get 12 miles out to the nearest stations that are closer to ~$3 than the ~$4.

I know most folks won't battle the traffic and loss of time just for gas, maybe you would because you are clearly weird.

I suspect most drivers will go to where they can get the best price. Only people who have money to throw away would pay the high prices.

One nice thing is the cheapest prices in the area where I live is on my way to and from work.

Well there are plenty of cars at the stations in the city so you suspect wrong.

Well how nice for you. Oh and it's your opinion gas is cheap.
My opinion is that it is not.

Too bad for them and you I guess.

My opinion is that it is not.

Is your command of the English language as weak as it appears or do you have mental issues that cause you to misunderstand what others say/type?
I said cheapest in the area and not that I consider the prices to be cheap.

No kidding. I lived 23 miles from Chicago's downtown and many times it took me about 2 hours to drive it. Prior to that, I worked 11.7 miles from work and it was a 45 minute drive. That is why I started taking the Metra to work when I lived in Chicagoland.
