Year over year demand in the US was down 6% and gas is (still) at an all time high for this time of year and expected to go over $4.00 in the Spring.

Gas in Lexington has fallen to as low as $3.23 (or lower with discounts). One station raised to $3.49 on Friday but others actually lowered by a few cents after that. I suspect it will raise in the coming week or so.

Our refineries on the eastcoast run on brent. Brent is still @ a 10 dollar premium to wti light sweet.

That is why gas prices are still high. Brent is 110ish not 98ish.

When downtown it can take up to 2 hrs to get 12 miles out to the nearest stations that are closer to ~$3 than the ~$4.

I know most folks won't battle the traffic and loss of time just for gas, maybe you would because you are clearly weird.

No kidding. I lived 23 miles from Chicago's downtown and many times it took me about 2 hours to drive it. Prior to that, I worked 11.7 miles from work and it was a 45 minute drive. That is why I started taking the Metra to work when I lived in Chicagoland.
