Don't let that hold you back, go for it.

I have decided to turn on the OP for starting a different thread where he says that he quit instead of being fired. This thread is pointless now.

When you're on time you're late
When you're late, you're really late
When you're early, you're on time :p

Fuckkking Lazy people.

I have worked for the same place for 25+ years.

I am almost never late, often I am there about 5-10 mins early.

Get a mortgage, and you either pay for your bills,or you end up homeless.I bought a house a month before I turned 22.

I was 19 when I started at my current employer.

Yes I was fired from a job,once;,2 weeks before I turned 18.

Personally, I hate people that are late. Now valid excuses are fine, life can be chaos, but if your one of those people that are late every (other) day by 5 -10 min then I have no sympathy for you. Its time to grow up, show some respect, and do your job. It sounds like you should have taken the job more seriously. Sure you can find a new job, but it sucks being on the bottom.

I'm not sure what your major is, but having 4+ years of work at a bank looks good on a resume, it looks even better if you?re trying to get a position from the same company once you graduate. If you where a teller, then that?s even better, having years of customer interaction is always a plus.

On the other hand, your 19. You?ll be fine, you?re just getting started. One day you will look back on this and laugh. Is your mom being overly mean? She probably is overreacting. She?s just trying to ?help? you.

They only suck, because they failed to instill a decent work ethic. Hah, the fruits of permissive parenting. We're going to be seeing this more and more as time goes on.

These are the parents who let their kids run wild, and bring all the lawsuits against schools for disciplining their hell spawns.

"Running away from home" is usually something that 12 year olds talk about doing...

Staying at a friend's house for a day or two is called a "sleepover" or a "visit" and is not called "running away".

If you are 19 already, you have a long way to go. Maybe what your mom tells you is true.

Just another victim of the PC school system. Never grade a kid on their accomplishments because those that won't perform will have their feelings hurt, and then NO ONE learn that they are responsible for their own actions.

Lesson learned YOU were late, YOU are responsible for your actions, now YOU get to pay the dues for YOUR action. Perhaps you have learned something, or perhaps you are just going to run away and again NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR ACTIONS. Grow up, I assume you are an adult now, act like one[/b]

I totally understand man (not the running away part... the need to get away from your folks). I'm Indian, and I moved out when I was 18 and I've been working full time eversince. What you need to do instead of running away is to explain to your folks why you are doing this and why you need to. Try talking to your Dad first coz I know Desi moms can be unreasonable :)... my folks have grown to respect me more as a result of my decision.

she always thinks of me like this.. just cant stand it

i cannot take this kind of disrespect from my mom

even my own blood does not udnerstand me and the mental instability and torture they put me thru i cant take it anymore

she does not seem to understand my potention nor my personality nor my beliefs she does not respect anyone..

i do live up to my name..

Here's the kicker: i knwo the reality i realizzed it already...

You obviously know NOTHING of the sort. What would your parents have to do to get anything to sink in at this point? I think they blew it a LONG time ago!

its ok man. you are in college and will be on your own soon enough.

work for yourself and just ignore your parents. i know its tough, but things will be much better once you're in college for a couple of years. when you graduate and live life on your own, it will be even better....

keep a good head about yourself
