New card fix the problem lava?

new card is nice and quiet. It doesn't boost as high on it's own though by 15 mhz. Not that 15 mhz makes one difference when you are talking about levels at 1ghz...

The stupid warranty void if removed (Evga serial number) sticker is covering a couple screws that are going to need to be removed when my backplate arrives on Friday. Gonna have to call Evga on this one =)

Yea well newegg cs made me confirm with HIS the card was having issues. That wad a pain as their dept is in China and they responded in broken English. By the time I sent it back to newegg 2-3 weeks had passed.

Stuff like this is why I always buy from amazon.com when possible. Simply put, amazon.com customer service puts newegg to shame. They will never hassle you about a return like this, it's basically a no questions asked return.

It's too bad really. I've spent many thousands of dollars at newegg over the years. They just can't compete with amazon.com by any metric except selection, and amazon is rapidly catching up there.

Damn that old card sounds like a bug zapper. Your Mass accent is pretty thick in that video 😀 I seem to have lost mine living in NC for so long.

I've only bought a couple of things on amazon. Shipping was a little slower than newegg but their customer service was a no issue department. Of course if they could match newegg price 100% that would be great. Newegg doesn't have a tech team just regular cs so if you mention a tech problem with your card or device they ask you to contact the manufacturer.

I guess that's one of the advantages to being in Europe. Any commercial sale that is not done in person, gives the buyer a right of return during the first two weeks after receiving the shipment arrives (Barring some exceptions, I think - used personal hygiene items are exclude methinks :awe🙂.
So he sent it right back for a refund. Yay customer protection laws!
Of course those are being eroded, with a reevaluation of this right of return being discussed in the European Parliament...
