ok fanboy, how do you explain the fact that kobe and shaq didn't get any calls for them throughout the whole entire game? what about the last play of regulation where kobe drove and was popped in the back? in overtime when shaq was called for a flagrant that was completely a botched call? the flagrant leading to a technical on coach jackson?

i'm sure there were quite a few bad calls for the rockets, but there were at least a dozen calls that went against or weren't called at all in the lakers favor. that game was just poorly officiated, so you laker haters don't have anything to brag about
rolleye.gif

what about the part where (francis) waved his arm in front of kobe and somehow had a foul called on him? what about when kobe flopped and whoever the rocket that was standing there got a foul called on him. on BOTH of those the announcers said the rockets got screwed? how bout when shaq interfered with a ball in the cylinder? you're calling me a fan boy, but i'm just stating why i hate professional basketball.

i know there were several bad/non calls against the rockets, but if you watch the whole game and tally them up, you'll find that the lakers were the ones that were really cheated. they had the most critical bad/non calls against them at critical moments of the game. i'm not saying anything bad about the rockets, but when a bunch of laker haters start spouting their mouths off about something they have very little knowledge about, it just bugs.
uh huh. well, to me you're quite the laker fanboy and from what i saw, the rockets got the short end of the stick. so, i will continue to go on hating professional basketball because of its horribly unbalanced and unevenly applied officiating.

if you really hate the the nba, then stop watching and giving your poor misjudged comments

this was the first game i've watched from start to finish, or even a significant portion of, in 7 years. my comments aren't misjudged. i'm right that the rules of basketball, that the NBA has implemented, are not enforced equally on all players by the league's officials, or even consistently in a game. its worse than the strike zone randy johnson gets compared to some no-name middle reliever just called up from AA.

in fact, i should just stop posting in this thread since so far you've called me names and fail to reason objectively on the subject.

i'm going back to watching college. even dicky v's duke cocksucking isn't as bad as the NBA

yeah, you're the one that claims to hate the nba and the way it's officiated yet you feel the need to bash the lakers? that coming from someone that lives in texas? your comments are exactly what i would expect of a sacramento kings fan, BS. it's funny how you live in texas, you bash the lakers, and you say the officiating went against the rockets. stop making up these BS lies and admit already that you're a fan of the rockets

I've been a fan of the Lakers since Vlade was traded back in 1996 (I hate that guy) but thus far, my support for Yao Ming has been unconditional. I'm happy that the Rockets won but I'm also sad that the Lakers didn't move one step closer to the number 8 team in the west.

Anyways masterxfob, the refs may have missed calls here and there but you know what? It happens. It happens to every fvcking NBA team. So stop whining about it because you're looking like an ass. All in all, congrats to the Rockets and gooooo Lakers.

if you read through a few of my posts you'd realize that i sympathize with the refs and i do understand that not every game, if any, can be called 100% correctly. i know every team gets bad calls or non calls against them and that they just need to play through them, so what's your point? if you had the crazy notion that i think only the lakers get bad calls or non calls against them, then you're a complete dolt. i know that because of game 6 in the western conference finals last year and many more besides that.

the reason i'm voicing my opinion so strongly is because of the many laker haters posting unintelligible comments. everyone hates the lakers and for what reason? they've got two of the best players in the league and they've won three in a row, so everyone automatically hates them. maybe it's because the kings should've been the champs last year but the officials botched game 6 and the lakers won three in a row instead.

regarding shaq, i don't remember so many people hating on shaq when he was playing in orlando alongside penny. what's so different about his game now that people are calling his game garbage? i bet more than half of these idiots calling shaq a garbage player never even saw him play in orlando.

anyhow, if you think i'm an ass, more power to you, but don't expect me to roll over and beg for your approval

The reason I'm criticizing you is not for your responses on posts like these:

SHAQ= garbage player

Yao= the center of the future.

Laker's fan= whiny cry babies

period.

because I know this guy is a moronic dumbass. But when you make posts such as:

that game was just poorly officiated, so you laker haters don't have anything to brag about
rolleye.gif

and

i'm sorry, but you truly know little or nothing about basketball.

Do you know how much of an ass you sound?

For your first post, the Rocket fans/Laker haters DO have something to brag about. Rockets won this game fairly because they played hard. Lakers just didn't have the heart tonight. But you claim that the Lakers lost because they were on the worse end of the poor officiating. Are you telling me that you spotted every single incorrect call/non-call on both teams and tallyed them up? And by this I mean EVERY SINGLE CALL? Did you watch that game and see every single away from the ball fouls, loose ball fouls, illegal screens, illegal defense etc that weren't called? I sure as hell didn't. Please. If you were that good, you would be on that court instead of those refs. I'm not saying that the Lakers were on the worse end of the bad calls and I'm not saying that the Rockets were either, but what I am saying is the Rockets deservedly won this game. Neither of us are refs and can spot all the calls. You even said it yourself. Refs have a tough jobs and can't catch 100% of the right calls so why should the game decision be blamed on them? Just accept that the Rockets won fairly tonight and hope that the Lakers will do better. I know I will.

As for that second post, that was just a pretty dumb and needless thing to say.

wtf is wrong with the NBA that you have an injured player not moving on the floor and the refs can't stop the play?!?!

someone can fake it to stop play

yeah, they figured that out in the nfl, which is why you get charged a timeout if it happens during the final two minutes of a half.

The rules are the same for just about every sport. In the NFL, the game is stopped for injury only before/after the play. While the play is in motion, no injury will force the whistle. I believe that's the same with soccer as well (if you're on defense, no injury will stop the game).

soccer too. you can get thrown out if the refs think you're faking it.

If that were the case, every soccer game would only be about 10 minutes long. ;)

You are wrong about soccer... if there is an obvious injury, the ref will stop the game...

so from what you're saying, the kings fans shouldn't be complaining about last seasons western conference finals..... i guess you believe the lakers won game 6 fairly? whatever, games have been won and lost due to poor officiating. if you're to daft to admit it, then it sucks to be you :)

Btw, how many driving layups did the lakers get with Yoa in the game? 1, by fish? Yao totally changed the game, even when he wasn't involved in the play.

they had a few, i think kobe got in a few times, but not nearly as many times as the rockets had. yao keeps his body in control and has long and thin arms so he plays pretty good defense. shaq on the other hand is usually out of control and his body almost always gets contact.

I agree.

I'm a huge Lakers fan, been a Lakers fan since late 70s and I still believe Lakers will make the playoffs and do well.

Yao played well and he certainly has a bright future ahead of him.

Bad call happens nearly every game, I don't like it but it's a part of the game. Lakers could have won that game had Kobe made both free throws at the end of the game.

For those who say Lakers suck....Lakers aren't as good as their previous championship years but, they are coming around even though last night was a bit of setback.
