Yeah, his stamina hasn't been the best. He has played nonstop for two years. I hope he gets to rest in the offseason and China doesn't make him play in a bunch of tournaments.

eat it...

That would be Shaq's shots blocked - 4

Yao's shots blocked - 0

I'm "eating it" :D

Wow, he has a lot of blocks. He's 5 inches taller than Shaq, so I'm not terribly surprised. The fact that he barely has to jump to block a shot, even Shaq's is quite impressive. :p

I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but for some reason Yao reeks of Shawn Bradley. Time will tell if i'm right or wrong.

Brag about blocks from someone who isn't 7'6"

Yao Ming - Ranks #11 in the NBA in Blocks(74.0)
Shawn Bradley - Ranks #2 in the NBA in Blocks(105.0)

Blocks from people that are half a foot taller than the competition is evidence of nothing but great height

Edit: I didn't even read the previous post. I guess you aren't the only one who noticed that.

Seeing how, production-wise, Bradley is the 5th most productive center in the NBA right now, I'd say it doesn't offend me.

Then use the extra 50-60 pounds, bump and elbow under the basket and make shot is evidence of nothing but great weight

He is the true enemy. Shaq fans and Yao fans must unite to help rid of this common foe.

I gave an example of a no-talent guy who blocks lots of shots because he's tall.

Give me an example of a no-talent guy who scores 30 points because he's heavy.

Thats kinda of a double standard. Mings TALL, Shaqs HUGE. Get over it. If either of them didnt have their size advantages, they wouldnt be as good as they are.

Comparing Ming to Bradley? Hah, Bradley is no where near as good as Ming is except maybe at shot blocking. Ming has really good passing and shooting skills, you cant say the same for Bradley.

I am not saying Shaq is a no talent guy because he is powerful, in the same way i don't think Yao is no talent because he is half foot taller.

They have the physical advantage and they use it well. But saying either one of them is no-talent is just plain stupid.

so if you wave your hand in the air in front of kobe you get a foul called on you? WTF is that? this is the reason i stopped watching NBA games 6 years ago and i see it hasn't improved at all.

I'm not saying Yao is not talented or not better than Bradley. People here keep bragging about his blocks, and i'm saying - Stop it. Anyone his height should and will get blocks. A 6 foot guy with 4 blocks is impressive. 7 foot 6 is expected. If all you can mention in this game is blocks, then there's nothin to brag about.

Has Bradley, or anyone blocked Shaq 4 times in a game? His first 3 shots?

Best excuse ever!

From now on, for any guy who is taller than 7 foot, a block shouldn't be counted into his stat. And for guys who is shorter than 7 foot, he can't be accounted for any assist or steal.

And if any point guard or shooting guard made a 3 point shot, it should be counted as 2 points. For any center or forward, score under basket is counted as 1 point.

I guess that will make the game more interesting!

I'm bragging about his blocks because if you noticed who I was quoting previously:

LakerGod: The fact that Yao can't even play along with normal starters is pitiful.

I'm saying that Yao seems to be holding his own against that"normal starter" pretty well if you ask me. Part of the evidence of him holding his own is those 4 blocks against Shaq which is impressive for anyone at any height because Shaq is so damn big and so damn strong.

I don't know.

You know why I don't know? Nobody keeps track because....

wait for it

It doesn't matter.

The game is decided over 48 minutes, not what happened during any 3 minute stretch. Shaq still has a higher field goal percentage during this game than Yao so far. 6-14 to 3-10

While Yao is in the game Rocket able to keep the lead, and they are still leading so far.

Both of them aren't playing that great (except for Yao's blocks). It would be nice to watch Yao play most of the 4th...if freaking Rudy T would put his ass in the game.
