I got the 7 pro on black friday, I find it to be bulky and heavy.

Compared to my 6a, that is a bit heavy at 6.3 (6a) 7 (6.9) 7pro (7.5) all in ounces. i add a spigen case as well just makes it worse even more bulky.

Thinking about trading the 7 pro for the 7, even tho, I want the best camera (the only reason why I got pro over the 7). Maybe I don't need that 5x zoom.

What do you guys think? .6 ounce less and slightly smaller, will it be noticeably better?

Trying to get use to it... I keep going back to my 6a and seems like It's the perfect size even tho, it's on the heavy side. If these phones get any bigger or heavier I swear I'm gonna need a man purse. LOL

BTW-- pixels are back to black friday prices 299 6a, 499 7 and 750 pro.

I also thought about keeping the 6a. But, I like the better camera and supposedly better reception on the 7 vs the 6a. Maybe I just need to wait for the 7a! Sigh.

I keep my battery charged between 30-90% and I don't charge it full overnight, except on rare occasions.

My m1 Macbook air will automatically charge to 80% if it's plugged in all the time. That's smart. Do you have a way to stop the charge at 90%?

The thing is the average cellphone battery that gets topped off daily, will last a few years. I think in the next 2 years, we will have LiFePO4 technology that will get over 1000 cycles. One day we will have worry free batteries!

I have a 6 and my sister just got the 7. She said the 7pro was to big. That was my complaint with the 6pro since I keep it in my pocket most of the time. I don't find the weight a problem and I can't imagine 1 oz making any real difference. I do wish they'd just make a phone with a case built on it from the factory. it seems absurd to build a phone with a glass back that is so slippery that you have no option but to put a case on it.

I can definitely feel the difference between a 6a and 7 pro.... 1.3 oz difference. the 7 pro is almost a half a pound. It's not that it's heavy to hold it just feels heavy in my pocket and I'll likely need suspenders to keep my pants up. lol

If you don't like big phones you don't like big phones. That's where the regular 7 comes in.

The Ghostek case on my p7p is quite light so I don't really feel the weight. But it's a very subjective thing.

I agree with the "pocketed weight" problem... and size- I have jeans that the phone simply doesn't go all the way into the front pocket because it is so big.

After a couple months, this phone is fantastic. I had a couple network issues but they were on T-Mobile's side. A network reset on their end and my end fixed things.

The December update kicked it up a notch too.

I would consider a smaller phone like the regular 7, but only if it had the same features as the pro, including the cameras. I don't see that happening in the future unfortunately, until if and when the Pixel line gets big enough to justify a wider product range.

Mind you, part of the appeal of the regular 7 is the price difference. It’s the sweet spot for those who want a fully modern phone but don’t need the absolute best features. I will say that I like Apple’s approach of having two mid-size phones, though…
