good luck man. Just take everything in stride. Like someone else said realize that they are just fucking with you, most of the time for their own enjoyment. What do you have to pack? you wear a set of clothing and thats it!
at the time boot camp sucked not going to lie, but you will never ever forget the experience and will joke about it through your Marine Corps career.

Just remember it can be easy if you follow 1 simple rule; never open your mouth or make any gesture unless specifically directed to by one of those in charge of your life - and then be sure that when you do open to speak it is only to give the response they are expexting.

MisterJackson, actually, I will be going to MCRD San Diego. IL and WI are the two states east of the Mississippi that go to California.

PS: In typical Dain fashion, I somehow decided that going rollerblading and attempting several show-off moves at the skatepark would be a smart idea. I pulled a few off and was doing great until I fell on my ass huge and banged my wrist really hard. Thank God I didn't break it. I would have been so screwed. Oh well, thought you may enjoy the final Dumbass Dain Story?.
Should've gone Navy, their boot camp was cake.
Know your General Orders like you know your name. In fact, print them out and memorize them on the plane. The vast majority of 8 count body builder experience came from f'ing those up. Also not making my rack properly.
As a bonus you'll get to shoot stuff. Just don't go Private Pyle on us!
