goddamn indian tech support

On the phone with netgear right now.... cant understand half of what they are saying....

Im trying to get a gigabit adapter replaced because a pin in the RJ45 adapter broke, and they are telling me its not covered under their 5 year warranty. Its not typical use or some garbage....

well what the hell is typical use? christ, thats what the jack is for, plugging and unplugging the cable....

I was just told that plugging and unplugging a cable is called "human interferance" and therefore not covered.... holding for a supervisor.....

ah yes...the joys of calling english help lines and getting some road cone who doesn't know what he's talking about and even if he did it wouldn't matter because you can't understand what the hell they are saying anyway...

goddamn indian tech support

Tell us how you really feel.

It's times like this where you really appreciate the speakerphone and mute button.

I'd rather talk to a polite non-english speaking person than a rude african american woman from NYC that wants to "AXE" me a bunch of stupid questions with a condescending tone.

I do not mean to offend anyone, but the general impression I've gotten from indian help desk/support is that they don't give a rat's arse about the customer OR the company they are working for. While you do get that sometimes with american support, I've found it's not NEARLY as rampant as in india.

Sprint seemed to have a monopoly on those kinds of workers, which is one major reason I left them and I'll never go back

Success! They are going to replace the card!

God Bless America. Get an American tech and the issue gets resolved in 5 minutes..... I spent over 45 minutes explaining to those idiots in India what my problem was, and then arguing over the warranty.

First indian tech I talked to didnt understand that I was talking about the RJ45 plug adapter....

Me: There is a pin broken where you insert the cable
Him: You mean where you plug the card into the PCI slot?

I am still trying to understand your deep seated need to give us a play by play of your tech support call. Are you upset that you can no longer scam your way into a Tech Support job because companies got wise? I assure you I can give you 10 examples of sh!tty american support for every example of sh!tty foreign support you give me.
