Nvidia's low end cards are definitely less appealing than AMD's it's my opinion that AMD really nailed it with Pitcairn and Cape Verde, and blew it with Tahiti. Conversely, Nvidia nailed it with GK104 and blew it with GK107... and likely GK106 as well.
I'm just glad that Nvidia's lineup is finally going to fill out. More price drops incoming!
Blew it? Are you serious? Are you really trying to be serious with that statement? Tahiti is an amazing chip, how can you possibly be serious. It is the fastest gaming chip on the market, very efficient, and it absolutely smokes kepler in compute. Developers are leveraging the power of compute in many of the AAA games recently released or soon to be, Dirt Showdon, Sleeping Dogs, MOH Warhammer, etc etc. Since AMD wants to brring the power of compute to the masses it only makes sense to get the hardware to market. Remember, iterations of this architecture will also be making it into Jaguar(Kabini, Tamash) and Kaveri fusion parts. It is also a vital part for pushingHSA, OpenCL, AMP. You underestimate the capabilities of this architecture.
