Warcraft 3 and NOT World of Warcraft? Very impressive.

You play DotA/ladder/random custom games or what?

EDIT: A few girls I have known have enjoyed games. Some for FPS like Area 51 type of games. Others I know like the Final Fantasy RPG stories and gameplay. Also they like Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, (Fighting games basically). Of course you can't usually go wrong with the platformers like Mario and such.

I always played DotA with my boyfriend but I would do the single play mostly, I am pretty much done. The only reason I didn't like WoW was because I had no time to play and was paying 15 bucks a month. Plus I was taking forever to level so I just stick to freeish games

Reminds me of the Zero Punctuation way of referring to Jericho... Clive Barker's Jericho by Clive Barker .

But does she play the WOW MMORPG? She is really missing out if she is not.

I forgot to mention The Movies...kind of Sims-esque, and was the first game my fiancee played completely through. I tried to get her into Bioshock, but she got too scared by all the creepy noises, LOL!

I tried Bioshock too. I am easily frightened (Especially by random loud noises and such) so I couldn't enjoy the game as much lol

Haha yeah I was Mrs.Cross. Which server was it? The GunGame one? The Realism one? Or the SteamFriends one?

SteamFriends I think. I don't go on other servers all that often, pretty much just stick with my clan server. It was nice playing with a fellow ATer though. :)

Why do so many women like the sims, I can't STAND the game. :p

I don't know either. It's so mind-numbingly "realistic" down to needing to take a piss that it's tedious and BORING.

Did I mention it's BORING?

Boring...

Meh, I find myself playing more SCBW/WC III/TF2/CS Source than anything else simply because I can jump in, play a game/map/etc. and then just quit. The challenge of playing humans is also a big plus.

Exactly!! One of the reasons I cannot stand the Sims. Its too much like real life. Why the hell do I want that in a game? Makes no sense to me at all. I found it boring too. Even boring to watch as well. *yawn*

Sims is for kids or teens who haven't and can't experience real life yet because they aren't old enough, like my 12 year old daughterl.

I totally agree.

I've been in several all adult guilds in WoW that had several women in them. In fact one of them had a female raid leader and to be honest listening to her voice as she gave out instructions was far better then listening to her male counter parts in the guild give out instructions during a raid. It was just far less irritating and grating to me for some reason but I am sure it was just her voice in particular.

So let me get this straight, The Sims is too much like real life? Does everyone grow up by jumping up in the air and spinning? Can anyone just pick any job out of the newspaper and instantly get it? I mean yeah it's supposed to try to be realistic, but it's most definitely not.

I still find it boring as hell. It does have its fantasy moments. To each his/her own about the Sims. Adults as well as kids like the Sims. Bully for them.

i think girls should play more casual games in between cooking and cleaning. i guess you could play more hardcore games once you finish washing the dishes and doing the laundry though.

Hahahahahahahahhahahahahahaahhaha
YESSS,, ,YESSS,, , YESSs

I'm in a relationship now, taking away time from gaming since all she really wants is sex LOL.

But, I'm starting to get bored of her, and thus, have reasoned to get her into gaming as well. One of the biggest hurdles nowadays is the fact that Modern gaming requires at least 1k hardware to be enjoyed. Which is surpass the amount most N00bs could justify paying for GETTING into a hobby. Though I've seen people Drop 1k on fencing equipment 2nd day.
