so how is this game running for people with GF 3's and CPU's over 1ghz? what res. max detail? i was thinking 1024 with Quinc.AA works perfect on maxpayne.... 😛

<< I'm on a 1.33 ghz, Geforce 3 these days. I gave the DDR to my brother. I took all the shots @ 1024x768 with 4x AA and 64-tap anisoptropic filtering. >>

<< Of course, with those settings, it runs about 20 fps. I am playing RTCW @ 1280x1024, 32 bit, with every setting maxed out. It looks unbelievable like that and runs at a near constant 60 fps. The performance and quality is fantastic. >>

Question Answered from NvNews... thats good to hear! 😛

At 1280x1024x32 no FSAA everything max out, my XP1700+/GF3 only get 50-80fps.

So much for my brand new game rig. :|

your upset with that!?

65avg fps, the best looking, newest game out... at 1280! all eye candy.. thats prefect...

what about when your inside?

Well I just beat the game. I played most of it yesterday at work 🙂 (it was so slow I had nothing else to do but play Wolfenstein). All in all the single player was pretty good but it says it only took me 6 1/2 hours to beat... seemed longer than that. Good thing this game has multiplayer.

I was aimming at 1600x1200x32. Have no problem playing Q3A/Q3TA, UT, Operation Flashpoint, Serious Sam and Rogue Spear at this resolution. However for new games GR and RTCW it just doesn't make it.

When inside it's about 50-80fps, depends on scenes.

i know what u mean, spend all that money.. but at least you will have great frame rates to come... and your not playing 800x600x16! 😛

Just get it as fast as you can!!!!!
After plain in the dungeons I had nightmares last night...

I have a 1000mHz Tbird (100FSB) on a A7V with a Gainward GF3 @ 250/500. I run at 1600*1200*32 and get 70-100fps inside and 40-60 outside. It somtimes dips into the 30's at a huge scene

the game kicks ass

only somehow i lost my crosshair... anyone know how to get it back?? i must have pressed something inadvertantly, and it turned into a red dot the size of a pixel... i thought it might be just the mauser rifle that had that crosshair, but i switched to the luger and the m40 or whatever, and the crosshair stayed the same... any idea what's up?

The game does rock, it gets a little repetitive in some points but then it kicks your ass some more, awesome graphics too, runs smooth as butta on my geforce2 and p3 933, 1024x768, go out and buy it

<<

<< I am stuck at this one point where i'm supposed to not kill the guard so he can let me into some base? I was suggested kicking his weapon out, but he dies after 2 kicks... any suggestions? >>

You have to find the gun, then get in the truck. You dont mess with that last guy.
>>

what gun..that bigger sniper rifle one? I've found it and when i get in the truck it says exit not valid yet...I have to find this rocket base?????

i think you got the sniper rifle not the snooper rifle...the snooper is silenced and nightvision included when you go into scrope with it

see if you got it

ahh..notebook says i haven't completed the "make sure not alarms have gone off" objective.

However none have gone off ..i even ran aronund and shot all the alarm boxes and it still says that.

doh

Did you know that you also have to go through the fenced gate? There is about 3 or 4 more guards you have to get past before you can get in the truck. This is where I got confused. The truck will be off the the right of the gate.

All you guys that are whinning about buying a game at $54 just amuse me...

I just paid 86,26$ CAN for the game yesterday. Was the best darn 86 bucks I spent in 4 years!

Now, quit whinning and get the game : it's worth every penny.
