I bought my copy today (ya can't steal everything) with my AmEx Blue so that when it goes on sale (which it WILL do), I can just get the refund. Schweet! I just saved $50 on my GF3Ti200 that I bought only a month ago. BING!
 
This game rocks. Great graphics, level design, and AI. Also a good variety of missions, and it runs smooth on my box.
I give it an A.
 
It's very cool for a shooter. Nice atmos. I just hope it doesn't get too "gay" with knob goblins and stuff as the levels progress. Notice Radeon is the only chip absent from the video 'issues list'. Have not tried software truform yet but if it makes it better I may have to seriously consider an 8500. Anyone seen German Shepherds? Are they in there like the original? Woof!
 
I am stuck at this one point where i'm supposed to not kill the guard so he can let me into some base? I was suggested kicking his weapon out, but he dies after 2 kicks... any suggestions?

Damn it, EB here charge $59 for the game (not the collector edition). But i'm weak and can't resist the temptation !:disgust:
 
So far, it's real purdy, but I haven't seen anything that I haven't seen before and better. (i.e. Half-Life - THREE YEARS later, it still hasn't been beat!) It's definitely a showcase for a monster rig, but after finishing the first mission, it's kinda MOTS.
 
I'm hoping to get it ASAP, it looks amazing with a strong single and multi-player package it could replace Half-Life on my HDD if it is super-de-dooper enough. 😀

Because they spent over 3 years and around $4 million making the game. They know people are going to buy it so why not make all their money back.
 
HI All,

Just had to put in my 2cents. The people that download warez are THE reason why these games are so expensive! Just like people who shoplift - but yet they are the first to complain about the prices. I suppose if they worked on something for 3 years they would just give it away, if people make a good product then pay for it!

P.S. I realize that most people on this forum due pay for their software, this is for those who do not.
 
i bought the game at comp usa for $55
i have one problem in the single player mode; everytime after i die, it crashes
everything else works great
 
Just obtained this great title. Started playing and I'm the second mission, part 4 or 5. Not too bad so far, but nothing special either.

Wow it's that good? I never actually played the demo but I'll play it and then if its real good I'll wait till it's $40 and snag it.
 
It will certainly go on sale, probably in the next two weeks (for Xmas) and also because they keep it at full price to clip all the "Gotta have it NOW!!!" people. (Like us.🙂) Max Payne went on sale about two weeks after it came out and I'm betting that RtCW will be found for $40 or less as well. That's why I used my Blue card.

(Of course, that didn't stop someone from PMing me earlier with a sob story about spending his money on a new monitor and needed my or someone's CD key. Sheesh, I PAID for my copy and the llamas just want me to give them freebies.)

If this looks so good, I can't wait to see what the Q3-powered Jedi Outcast and SOF2 are going to look like. I think it's interesting that Id is bringing in Raven for Quake 4. It appears they realized that they should stick to making killer engines and get some better game-makers on the case. All the better for us, the gamers.

i spent the last of my money on a monitor because i didn't know when rtcw was gonan come out. So i was hoping to fin someone's cd key and use it until i gain ernough money (i work) to buy the game. The person's cd key wont be in use if i play...i only play one hour a day. Do you or anyone know where i can get a cd key?

You have to find the gun, then get in the truck. You dont mess with that last guy.
 
This is a great sequel to the original, which was fun to play back in its day... The graphics are some of the best I've ever seen in a FPS (drool), and the music and sound effects in the game are excellent. You should definitely pick this game up if you love eye candy, intense game play, and were a fan of the original game and are also a fan of Half-Life and/or Deus Ex.
